Kokonoe-beya sekitori got a new design:a Kaga-yuzen 加賀友禅 dyed somenuki kimono in collaboration with Swiss watch maker Franck_Muller - in 9 colors in gradation: 九重 Kokonoe means nine-fold. It took 4 months to produce them, Kaga-yuzen kimono cost up to 10 million yen. All involved corporation persons were acquaintances of the late Chiyonofuji.

for the most expensive Kaga-yuzen kimono - I don't think these were in that category, but likely several million Yen - that's the secret of the sponsoring companies

I envy the boys. Sadly one gets only disturbed looks when you leave your german house, wearing a yukata :-(

Some people in yukata just look like they're wearing pyjamas. A big man coming out of the house and looking like hasn't dressed may well get a few funny looks.
