Yes, but all humans start as tiny pile of cells, forming an asshole (i kid you not). Sadly some stay at that level only with some more cells.

Various standards at different times of words being imported.  They shy away from using tsu for just t- now, preferring to-.

The other thing that I just find mind boggling is how the vowel in his name gets thought of as closing to "a" than "u".  I understand the Japanese u is generally extremely reduced, and a long u sounds completely different so they can't emphasize the actuality of a sound there that way, but in my mind using 'ru' makes more sense than 'ra'.  That's actually very standardized in their phonological transformations of English words, but it's one aspect that I can't really understand.

I also use an adblocker but I was able to copy and paste most of it:

As for slippers on the dohyo, the gyoji wear them all the time.

Only the tate-gyoji is allowed to wear zouri sandals, and the oyakata, the sekitori class gyoji tabi socks - and the lower gyoji are barefoot  - slippers are only for the guests

The special thing about the slippers this time was that they perfectly matched the shoes in color and material and were also bigger than the grey old ones - not so easy to spot if they have them on, unless they walk

Yes, fair correction. I wasn’t very accurate there. My main point was that people wear some form of footwear all the time.

It is forbidden to bring food and drinks into the kokugikan - nobody usually cares, but this time they brought airport-like equipment to check persons and baggage at the entrance - usually you never wait at the entrance when you pass with your ticket, this time a 500m queue and with the checks it took up to 90min. to get in

drinks were only available at the food shops - which had long queues as well

With all this, the usual day at the kokugikan is no fun - in the end I'm glad I got no ticket and didn't have to experience that live - just the right thing to watch on TV

Yes, and they are also similar in color to the tabi, making them hard to notice sometimes.

Even though no suspense was left in the day 15 sumo, Trump made senshuraku have high TV ratings of 26.3% (Kansai 24.9) - as usual for the 2nd half of makuuchi - even the 1st half had a quite high 15.9%.   Takakeisho's yusho had 22.6%, his ozeki decider last basho 18.4%. http://www.daily.co.jp/general/2019/05/27/0012370167.shtml
