The Lewd Bohemian 4 Posted March 28, 2019 Greetings from the oldest town north of the Alps and the (probably) oldest town in Germany. A few days ago I came across this forum and must say that I find it wonderful what a current and passionate exchange about this splendid martial art is practiced here. I am now 36 years old and have some experience in Asian martial arts myself, but Sumo has always been somehow different and special to me. As a young boy I was a huge fan of Yutakayama and Chiyunofuji, but somehow I lost sight of Sumo during the early 2000s and my "rebel phase". The spark of enthusiasm was awakened again after my stay in Japan 2015 and the Aki basho, Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, where I was allowed to witness all its glory live. Meanwhile my fiancée and I are big fans of Ichinojo, Tochinoshin, Hakuho and of course Takakeisho. His promotion to Ozeki was long overdue and we expect a lot from him in the future. His style of fighting is very straightforward and powerful, but it is a beautiful way of traditional sumo and I hope to see him sometime as a Yokuzuna and maybe even meet him personally. Professionally, as a historian and alternative practitioner, I travel a lot in Asia and Europe and am committed to a future in which people can enjoy the benefits of a dual medical system. I am convinced that the next stage of evolution lies in transhumanism, the modification/improvement of human nature through cybernetic additions. This is also my main area of research and the approach of my practical treatments. Who knows, maybe in 50-80 years we will see Rikishi with cybernetic leg prostheses? Although, as I know the Japanese and the Sumo-Association, this is rather unlikely. ;-) Anyway, cheers to all of you. 2
