BroadMeadow

Hello from wintery Indiana

Recommended Posts

I was turned on to sumo through two different online articles:

The beautiful "The Sea of Crises" on (now-defunct) Grantland:- http://grantland.com/features/sumo-wrestling-tokyo-japan-hakuho-yukio-mishima-novelist-seppuku/

And the historically and analytically informative "The Sumo Matchup Centuries In The Making" on fivethirtyeight- https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-sumo-matchup-centuries-in-the-making/

I have been following the bashos via Kintamayama's videos for a couple of years and snooping around on this forum for about as long.

The above referenced articles pretty much describe who I am- someone looking for truth and beauty. Thanks for having me!

I hadn't read the Grantland article. Excellent read. Thanks for sharing, and welcome to the forum!

The Pacers are a good team- they fit in with the state. Hopefully they can make it out of the East this year!

Welcome! Whereabouts are you?

BoilerUp!

I am up in Notre Dame country. But even with the last name of Kelly, I don't consider myself a fan of the Irish.

How cold is it out there? I'm wanting to know since I'm going to apply for school out there. Family also went to Purdue. Welcome!

A warm and sunny welcome to the forum!
I was born and raised in Indiana, so as a fellow Hoosier I can very well understand it's crazy winter weather patterns ;-)
