shimodahito 166 Posted January 11 Good day all (& Fujisan). Itchyknee is 99.9999% correct. The only rikishi you are not allowed to pick is the rikishi at the bottom of the banzuke... Daigonishiki. The only rank you are not allowed to pick is the last rank of the banzuke... Jk27. Pick the rank where you think the TORCH will end or get the most points... it certainly won't be in Jonokuchi... history has always proven Makushita/Juryo zone... Pick the rikishi you think will win the most points and/or end with the TORCH at the end of the Kyushu 2019 basho. good luck.

Chisaiyama 11 Posted January 12 Shimodahito-zeki Rikishi Pick: Roga Rank Pick: J6W Perhaps for next year (2020) you might consider as another year-end bonus points category having then entrants guess the Highest Position achieved with points for hitting it right on and lesser points for getting within 10 of the actual high. Just something for thought. I suggest this now as it would give yourself and the other players achance to discuss it and see what everyone thinks.

shimodahito 166 Posted January 12 Good day all, The TORCH will start with rank Jonokuchi 27 West and rikishi Daigonishiki. He's not on the Day 1 torikumi so no TORCH match on day 1 ~ which gives everyone an an extra day to submit an entry and/or update your picks. We might have a record number of fantastic new players this year. More are welcome, as are updates from the dozens of active players out there.... so far 27 updated picks, and 12 new players. shimodahito 166 Posted January 13 Good news... No TORCH match on Day 2, so another 24 hours to update picks, and for new players to join. -shimodahito p.s. note to Takanorappa ~ i have your picks. Thanks.
shimodahito 166 Posted January 14 Good day all, The TORCH will start with rank Jonokuchi 27 West and rikishi Daigonishiki. Jonokuchi 27 West Daigonishiki's first match IS scheduled on the Day 3 torikumi ~ which means there's about 11 hours left to submit an entry and/or update your picks. There's an annual prize in this game (a carry over idea from the early bench sumo years when prizes were exchanged) and new players are always welcome. Happy pickings and good luck in 2019.
