I blame Ichinojo for all the terrible things that happened to me yesterday, including my fever.

three 10 - 10 bouts in Sumo Game on Day 2. I don't think we see this very often?

not a great feeling to be on the losing end in one of these...

I suppose I can take solace in that I wasn't the only one to lose 14-14 on Day 2. :'-(

I was going to say the same. Almost 9 average in Mackuuchi.  Yokozuna loses the monoli. Kinboshi! Wild. (Zabutonflying...)

Congrats to the 3 winners! (Applauding...)

The first two days have had very few upsets all over the banzuke, to the extent that there is only a single 2-0 rikishi that I think is more likely than not to lose, and even then it's far far closer to an even match than necessary for me to choose it as an X for Toto.  When I saw my script spit out a rikishi to pick as a loser for TTT that I had just picked as an X match for Toto, I was really confused.  Usually there's *someone* who manages a 2-0 start despite being a bit overranked, but not this time.

What a bloodbath in Chain Gang. 41 people out already and we aren't even half way though makuuchi.

Aaaaaand, Onosho goes down too. Make that 58 people out of Chain gang. Wow.

Yeah! It is Upset Day already. Luckily, I already bowed out of CG on Day 1, following a long tradition...

Final tally, 63 out, only 10 survive in Chain Gang. One of those out is me. In fact I lost in every single game tonight. What a night. :'-(

Ha! I managed to find a green loser for TTT in Takayasu!

Too bad Takagenji already spoiled it...

Well, here was hope after Chiyotairyu lost. But that lasted less than 5 minutes, then it was all over with Yoshikaze's loss.

Same for me.  Got Kyokushuho for the loss  but somehow Tokushoryu couldn't beat Chiyonoo despite having a good record against him and Chiyonoo looking terrible the last couple basho.

Yup. The weird thing is that the green picks turned out to be more successful although the red ones appeared to be "easier".

Just saw the player count in ISP. Holy macaron, 193 players! The numbers back to Nagoya 2017 were 158, 198, 131, 109, 99 and 98.

@Kintamayama You forgot to promote ISP in the day 1-3 videos!

That moment when you wish you had included Chiyonokuni in the top half of your Hoshitori line-up...

I did and I'm in the bottom five!

My whole gaming layout this basho is a total disaster. I blame jetlag and entering everything on a cellphone.

And Ichinojo.

And day 3 and 4 in quad, what a hot mess.

Day 3: 10-54-1

Day 4: 4-60-1

6% winning percentage.

It probably never happened that I am leading for a day two different games, S4 and Fantasy of all. In the basho when I skipped most pre-basho games as well as Bench due to vacations. A day for history, tomorrow is another day.

(Cheers...)

I knew right away that the fusens went my way despite losing Hakuho......

Having "Super Sub" Mitakeumi as an alternate in Hoshitori couldn't have gone better for me....

With Kakuryus absence and especially Tochinoshins withdrawal....

I avoided Tochinoshin like the plague in my prebasho games....

For once I was right but I did worry at first when he was winning early on in the basho....

Facepalm of the day: I tried to be clever in Quad with Shodai + gambit + surefire winner Kyokushuho. (Blowingupfuriously...)
This guy will be the end of me one day...

He's a nightmare. I also have him and so now need 3/3 from my remaining lads.

As always, the only sure win in Quad is with two fusensho.

(Not true, actually - I once had two fusensho available but no gambitable bout...)
