Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted September 11, 2018 This does not make pretty reading. Gary's kinboshi today means he is the only unbeaten centipede after only three days. Jan and Seb are having complete nightmares, as are Owl, Rupe and Unko! And there's not much else to compliment. A special mention though to Mark and Stefan who fought out an excellent 9-9 draw. Mark won it, but excellent from both. Day 3: Rank Wins Points AADs Opp AADs 10 8+ 5- TB TB+ Who? Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted September 11, 2018 Real mixed bag today. The inevitable 0-3 in Bench materialised on cue. An unlucky loss in SG means I am 2-1 there. Out of Chain. Pure idiocy on my part. On the bright side I got a max in DST to put me at 6th, hung on to the lead despite a loss in Odd. Won Quad and ISP to go 3-0. And back on track in Toto at 2-1. Need to get a run going there as I'll need at least 11 for the tsuna. The pre-bashos are also a major mix. I am hopeful for a few of them but it is still early days really. Scott's turn to win today in the Baka Cup so I am 1-2 there now. GAMBARIMASU!

Haidouzo 78 Posted September 11, 2018 Fairly good day 3 for another missed withdrawal. By some miracle, I still managed my third wins in Toto and Quad, despite picking Seiro in Toto and not picking his opponent in Quad. Also won in Chaingang (another minor miracle) and SG. Waiting on results in Bench. An average-ish day in DST, and still above the KK/MK line. Took my first losses in ISP and TTT. Missed in Odd and TUG, also. Haidouzo 78 Posted September 12, 2018 A strange day 4. Catching the withdrawal saved me in SG, in the form of a tiebreak win instead of an 8-7 loss. It seems to have done the same in the Baka Cup, where I believe I'm winning on tiebreak on lower rank in first position. Now back-to-back tiebreak losses in Bench, for 2-2. Somehow still alive in Chaingang. With only 14 players left, whomever I select for day 5 is essentially guaranteed to lose. A strong 7 on a brutally low-scoring day in DST puts me in striking distance of the top 10. Losses across the board in ISP, Quad, Odd, and Toto put me one off the lead in Quad and Toto, and two off the lead in ISP. And missed in TUG... again. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted September 13, 2018 Gary keeps up the sterling work and leads the Makuuchi division with three others. Panda remains in dogged pursuit one win behind. Jan and Seb really are having a torrid time and their ozeki runs are all but dead. Damage control is more important now as they could very easily find themselves ejected from sanyaku. Special mention to Chisha, who has been very unlucky with five straight 8-pointers. Above average every day with opponents of the same calibre. He deserves better than 2-3.Scott is the only other centipede in positive territory. Step it up, lads and lasses. Day 5: Rank Wins Points AADs Opp AADs 10 8+ 5- TB TB+ Who? Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted September 13, 2018 Well, it was my birthday today so I wanted to do well in the games and so it worked out. I lost ISP, which was annoying as I was zensho there, but won everything else apart from Bench (yet another unbeatable opponent...that's three out of five now). Highlights are 5-0 sole lead in Quad, second in Odd (knocked down by a superb and ballsy bet from Gernobono today - kudos) and in the top five in Tipspiel. SG is promising too...but I need to step up the pace in Toto, where I'm a poor 3-2, which doesn't bode well for Yokozuna promotion. The pre-bashos were badly hit by Yutakayama's withdrawal. He may come back in, apparently, so I'm hoping he does. This is a real shame as I had excellent chances in Rotosumo, Fantasy Sumo and Salarycap. It has also damaged my Oracle prospects as I predicted over the average. Dammit! The only pre-basho games I have a chance in now are Norizo, Juryo Game and Oracle. Maybe Roto if Yuta comes back and wins a few. Got back on track in the Baka Cup by slaughtering Scott today. Hope to restore parity tomorrow. GAMBARIMASU! Haidouzo 78 Posted September 13, 2018 By some miracle, I am one of 11 left in Chaingang. Which means today is the day that my pick is absolutely guaranteed to lose. Unless everybody survives today. Then it will be tomorrow's pick. GANBARIMASU

Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted September 14, 2018 Many today will be either thanking or cursing Kisenosato. Gary is now co-leader with two others. Panda fell behind (thanks to Kise). Jan got a first win on the board and Seb won too...so the miracle ozeki promotion is on for one of them. We still remain poor in terms of records, centipedes, so let's increase the pace. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted September 14, 2018 Chiyoshoma being an utter idiot and Kise being the same pretty much ruined most of my games today, but I won Bench for damage control. Won Toto to go 4-2, which is still not good enough...but it's a start. Won a little bet in Odd to stay second, but annoyingly a lot of people won today, meaning I am by no means guaranteed top three. Lost ISP, Quad and TTT but almost everyone else did too so it wasn't a disaster really. I am just upset because I almost moved Kise down my SG order but didn't and that decision cost me a win over a big rival. Tipspiel went well and I am up in the points there. The pre-bashos remain disastrous and I could be looking at some heavy make-koshi this time. Oracle, Norizo Cup and Juryo Game remain my only viable Masters prospects...with small chances in Salarycap and Roto if Yuta comes back. And Kise put Scott 4-2 up in the Baka Cup. God DAMMIT! If only he had some friends. What do we need to do? Lay out a bread crumb trail using day old chanko droppings? Kind of reminds me of that scene from Interstellar when Matthew McConaughey is trying to communicate through time and space with his daughter. Dang that Martian, Matt Damon for almost ruining everything! Goes to show you should never trust aliens! Well, at least that was the message I got out of the movie. LOL! Actually, instead of the error message at the old ST site, couldn't Mike splash up the URL to this site or would that be too much of a slap in the face? Just curious. I hope Seisset finds us.
