Pandaazuma 1,256 Posted September 8, 2019 (edited) A pandaful start, only losing Odd Sumo (because of Daieisho's unlucky loss) and TTT thanks to the surprise kinboshi. The pre-basho games look good too, with almost all of my picks looking very strong. Nice to slaughter Scott too to go 1-0 in the Baka Cup. Haidouzo 78 Posted September 9, 2019 Recovery win in ISP. Losses in Bench (thanks, Hakuho--and then I ran into a perfect day), SG (tiebreak for 0-2), Quad and Odd. But now 1-1 in the Baka Cup. Also won in TTT and somehow 2-0 in Toto. GANBARIMASU

Pandaazuma 1,256 Posted September 9, 2019 Lucky day for the Panda. Won most of the games despite some undisciplined picking. That lack of discipline put me out of Chain - my system would have picked Asanoyama, but I idiotically put Kaisei in (rejected by my system). Let that be a lesson... I am flying in several dailies and feel confident. Prebasho looks very promising too. Apart from Roto and FS, which are dead unless Kak withdraws, I have serious Masters points chances as long as the lads who look good now stay that way. Pandaazuma 1,256 Posted September 12, 2019 Odd basho. Been too busy to really concentrate but I am doing fairly well in the dailies overall. Not sure why I am so awful in SG, but I expect that to change soon. Toto, Tipspiel, ISP and Bench are all very good, but Bench won't last as I am needing massive luck every time I meet someone who has Kakuryu (like today). FS is totally screwed with Ichi out. Actually have a chance in Roto now as I don't have Ichi there but will need Kak to stop winning as well. Best hope of points pre-basho seems to be Oracle, Juryo Game and the Japanese ones. Winning the Green this time will depend on the dailies, but whatever happens, I'll hopefully be a lot closer to 300 masters points by senshuraku. GAMBARIMASU! Haidouzo 78 Posted September 12, 2019 4-1 in the Baka Cup! And TTT (for a five-way tie for the yusho)! A three-win streak in Quad for 3-2! Pretty nice compensations for having Hakuho in most games. GANBARIMASU
Domichi 13 Posted September 12, 2019 (edited) Under-performing in SG, but staying afloat at 3-2 due to some luck in the first couple days. 3-2 in ISP which is nice. Perfect day in Bench bringing me up to 2-3 (and above the axis of mediocrity for MCP). Doing reasonably well in pre-bashos considering the Hak pick. 53/90 in Roto and 75/172 in FS. Pandaazuma 1,256 Posted September 14, 2019 One of those days where my system is screwed, but I managed to pull out vital wins in Toto and ISP. Bench was impossible to win and I lost with a GBL. Highly annoying, given I am in the yusho race. SG was also a nightmare, as my system does not allow me to pick idiots even if they look fairly likely to win (like Ishiura etc.) So I am forced to make riskier picks like Endo, because at least they look in good form. It wasn't to be today though. Tomokaze and Daieisho are doing a fine job for me in the pre-basho arena, and I now have decent chances for points in Bingo and PO. Norizo Cup is a disaster because of the muppets I picked for active rikishi, but I may get the special question right if Tsurugisho wins a couple more. It could well end up saving my Yokozuna status. Pretty poor day but I'm still looking very good in multiple games. A Meisei yusho would be just perfect. Why not?? GAMBARIMASU!

Haidouzo 78 Posted September 14, 2019 Except for Bench (where Hakuho's loss is irrecoverable, now 2-5) and maybe Quad (3-4), it's a pretty great basho in the dailies so far.
