Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 8, 2019 Now THAT was a comically bad day. Only managed to win TTT. Everyone I picked fell flat on their faces while they were doing well. Just one of those days. At least now I know the condition of all the lads and am confident I will improve. The pre-basho scene went from bad to worse as well, so I won't be getting all that many Masters points this time around. I even lost the Baka Cup! 1-1 now. GAMBARIMASU! Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 8, 2019 A remarkable 9 from Owl is the standout. Mark and Unko are unbeaten with some good scoring from the former. Chelseayama got back on track courtesy of his opponent idiotically leaving Hakuho out. He is scoring pretty well too. Day 2: Rank Record Points AADs Opp AADs 10 8+ 5- TB TB+ Who? Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 9, 2019 In this hellish basho I actually had a half decent day. Won all the dailies except for TTT (a tough day for everyone) and Odd Sumo (a tough BASHO for everyone). Tipspiel is disappointing and I've had some horrendous luck in Bench and SG but I'm not worried yet. That idiot head judge nearly sent me to 0-3 in Bench and SG but fortunately Takayasu, who clearly beat Endo the first time, won again in the rematch. Toto, Quad and TTT all look OK. And I even got a rare win in ISP for 1-2. The pre-bashos are mostly very ugly but I am holding out some hope. Juryo Game, FS and Oracle could be very good. Salarycap too if Takayasu or Goeido keep winning. The Japanese games still stink, so I'll need my jo'i lads to stop fighting like muppets soon. And sadly Scott snuck a win in the Baka Cup. 1-2 there. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 11, 2019 Some welcome improvement for the Panda. Most of the dailies are looking OK now and I'm picking well. The pre-basho disaster is not so bad after today and if Meisei stops stinking up my line-ups, I could do pretty well. Masters potential in Juryo Game, FS, Oracle and Salarycap so far. Now 3-2 in the Baka Cup. GAMBARIMASU!

Ganzohnesushi 526 Posted July 12, 2019 (edited) Today I had the rare occurrence of meeting the same aite in Bench and SG. Luck was on my side in both games today as I could beat Susanoo in a 7-7 TB in SG and with a nice 12-9 in BS. With Shin going kyujo and Kaisei being severely injured most of my pre-basho games will go South. Among the dailies a few games look promising. SG (5-1), S4 (5-1), TTT (4-2) and DST (currently 4th) will hopefully add a few SB masters points to my tally. Exit in Chain on Day 4 was good enough for 0,88 points and from GTB I already had 0,6 points. Ganzohnesushi Edited July 12, 2019 by Ganzohnesushi

Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 13, 2019 Owl and Ganzo are flying the Centipedal flag in Makuuchi as they enjoy a share of the yusho lead. Mark is one off the pace in Juryo as he keeps up the excellent scoring. Steve and Ronnie won't be able to lose many more if they want Makushita yusho. Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 13, 2019 Lucky win in SG and unlucky loss in Bench (Naturally, I get the 0-5 guy on the day he had the Abi fusensho...would have beaten him in a fair match. Oh well). Strong win in Toto to stay in contention there. Ground out another win in TTT. Some improvement in DST, but still not good enough. The pre-bashos look a little better but some are hilariously bad. Without even looking at the UDH standings, I know I will be stone last. There goes my gamble of Kak at 6. ;) 3-3 now in the Baka Cup. Close one this time. GAMBARIMASU! Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 13, 2019 A bit of a mess of a basho but I am creeping back up many of the standings and have some confidence at this stage. Still picking pretty well and several games look tasty now. Annoyed that I bottled picking Meisei in SG as my system predicted him...replaced him with Giku at the last minute. Seems I never learn. Fortunately I didn't need him but the extra point would have been nice. Bench is going well now again after some unlucky losses. I am even doing OK in ISP, shock horror. A win in the Baka Cup makes it 4-3 to the Panda, but it's for real against Scott tomorrow on the SG dohyo. GAMBARIMASU!
Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted July 13, 2019 Owl kept up the fine work, this time downing dangerous shin Ozeki Andonishiki. He gets Norizo tomorrow and Panda on Monday...can he keep up the winning? Ganzo lost today but is still sitting pretty with 5-2. Rup and Gary are coming back a bit. In Juryo it's looking quite good but big scorer Mark dropped the ball today. Steve sneaked a tight win in Makushita and is now 5-2. Day7: Rank Record Points AADs Opp AADs 10 8+ 5- TB TB+ Who?
