Resurgence would be better.

but is too long - and a long way to go till I'd call it a comeback. Now we have him in resurge from illness, but my focus stays on his health problems, and they may resurge

Just make the title more zeitgeisty. That always works:

Terunofuji - A comprehensive example of the resocialization of pro sport invalds in the age of sustainable global inclusivity and climate change.

I think I'll make a poll about the title selection - some options could also be

Terunofuji health downs and ups

Terunofuji health problem solving

Terunofuji - to be healthy or be not

I like that one.  [Also, better than my original idea, "Mongolian Rhapsody"]

The last two days have been a reality check for the comeback hopeful.

Or the result of an excessive yusho celebration...

Not sure why everyone is bringing him down. Within a year he’s back in Juryo and he won a Yusho with only two losses. Not only that he’s getting healthier and stronger every time he comes back.

At the very least doesn’t need much to gain makuuchi status now. Still progress for him. Still a good start to the year.

See you guys in March

I was thinking the same thing! Today he looked like the injured Terunofuji. The guy that kept getting walked out of the ring offering little to no resistance. I hope we are both wrong.

In a weird parallel with Tochinoshin's first Juryo Yusho during his comeback, his inability to secure a promotion may in this case leave him not particularly close to the top due to the number of rikishi that need to be ranked in that area.
