Several locations were in the news already, esp. Ryugasaki as support for Kisenosato:

in his former hometown Ryugasaki, a jungyo will be held on August 9th, the first ever in this city. Onoe-oyakata on the 8th announced it together with the head of the organization committee, the head of the Junior Chamber Ryugasaki. The committee was created in January to support the yokozuna, who went to school there.

On Aug. 21st, the jungyo tour after 2 years is again in Akita-city. Jungyo man Edagawa was at the local Akita Sakigake shimbun office to seal the performance contract - the paper and Akita Broadcast are the promoters. http://www.sakigake.jp/news/article/20180221AK0031/

And they have it. On Aug. 18th, the jungyo is after 21 years again in Obihiro-city, Hokkaido. The Tokachi-Shibatayama-kai is the promoter. https://this.kiji.is/351098237111141473?c=75768590128873475

From the recent figures, we can estimate that every day of jungyo gives a profit of 10 million yen to the NSK

On July 30th, the jungyo will be after 8 years again in Otsu-city, Shiga. Pref. local Edagawa (Aogiyama) had a nice PR visit to the governor of Shiga (NHK local news page with video) and a not so nice one with the mayor of Otsu. She told the plain jungyo man on simple PR duty to have changes in the NSK and then told the press that she'll refuse to make the address speech from below the dohyo (NHK local news page with video).

Late for his match? It's probably Takayoshitoshi. Wow! I just realized you predicted this before the March basho!

On Aug. 14th, the jungyo is in Oushuu 奥州 (same reading as Europe 欧州, but different first kanji), Iwate - the last time at the same location was in 1999. http://www.iwanichi.co.jp/2018/05/10/188444/

Happy jungyo man Edagawa was at the city hall on the 8th

Shikoroyama-oyakata was for PR at the city hall of Odawara, where after last year again a jungyo will take place in August, on the 24th. As a child he often visited the city and nearby ones.

Keiko with kids is canceled by the NSK for safety reasons. The promoters hope for a quick lift of this new ban: also this year 10 kids had applied for this popular event, girls included. Last year had 6000 spectators.

No minors will be allowed on the jungyo, it has been announced today. After last year's drinking problems bringing about the Harumafuji affair and the gyoji sexual harassment affair, this decision was made. "We know that minors have no experience dealing with heavy smoking and drinking and what may result afterwards... At the heya they can be supervised, but during the jungyo it's more difficult to monitor them. It's a preventive measure.." said an officer. "We are undermanned with tsukebitos as it is, so now this? And what happens if in the future we will have a teen Ozeki, or even a teen Yokozuna?" asked someone not happy. This is supposedly going to be permanent.

Of course the Harumafuji affair could never have happened if this new regulation had been in place...

Clarification-this will not include sekitori. Only Makushita and under rikishi, gyoji and other Kyokai members underage. Additionally, minors who are local boys at a given jungyo and asked to join by the promoters will need their Oyakata's express permission in order to join the jungyo . No date of expiration for the new regulations.

At least there will no longer be any teenage gyoji around to tempt the old hands (pun very much intended). :-S

Hakuho also plans to be there from the start.

Hakuhou's injury hasn't healed yet and he may not join the Jungyo from the start after all. "He still has pains. We'll wait two, three days and upon consultation will decide how to proceed, " said Miyagino Oyakata.

Miyagino Oyakata: "He walks like a crab." Hakuhou was seen at the Miyagino beya senshuraku party dragging his foot awkwardly, I read.
