Since this thread usually attracts rolling bales of hay and dust, I'll just use some stuff that is funny or different. 

 

Day 2- Tamawashi, second win: "We've just started..I will gambarize day by day. That's what EVERYBODY is saying, right?"

Day 4 - Asanoyama, on beating Yutakayama who entered sumo together with him at Sandanme Tsukedashi, a new rank: "He's the opponent that makes me go all out. I was overthinking about it , not wanting to lose, and I couldn't fall asleep.. NAAAAH, I'm just kidding.." (Incredibly funny..)

Tochinoshin,  4 straight wins, his first daughter born November 8th: "I'm not hesitating at the tachiai. I still haven't seen my daughter (who is in Georgia).. I'd like to go there as soon as I can.."

Well if he doesn't hesitate he can raise up from that Tachiai and head straight to Georgia :)

Day 6: 

Kaisei, getting a fusensho and stopping his losing streak at 3: "I'm glad I managed to grab his mawashi. I feel I can rest for one day now.."

Tamawashi,  sent into orbit by Ichinojou and landing on his head: "Shit, that didn't go as planned.."

Chiyotairyuu, getting his first win of the basho by fusensho: "I was the only one in Makuuchi without a win so it's not nice to say this, but that was good. I take what I'm offered.."

As hard as it is to believe, he said  it, in Japanese, but he said it.. I'm still laughing. Yoshikaze, Kaisei ,Tamawashi and Aminishiki (when he's around..) always have something witty to say.

This is hilarious! The bout description makes it even funnier! The randomness of this bout seeing Ichinojo of such calm garden-variety yotsu sumo launch oshi specialist Tamawashi by the chin off the dohyo on to his head is right up there with Daishomaru beating Hakuho by Ipponzeoi. At first I thought Tamawashi was glaring at Ichinojo now I know it was just confusion he was still alive! Tamawashi always looks like he has fun with reporters. The other two were funny aswell, Kaisei must have been bored.

Kaisei, from Brazil, not used to the cold, on today's snow:" It was really fun to see snow for the first time back then, but now I'm not so thrilled."

Takarafuji, from Aomori,  where snow is abundant, on the snow in Tokyo: "This is nothing compared to Aomori but it did make me feel homesick. I came here forgetting to put on socks, but I'm used to the cold.  " Why no scarf?? "Damn you, Moti!"
