Turn The Tide - Banzuke Hatsu 2018

Recommended Posts

This has been a remarkably crazy basho. Not because of the results - they have been fairly standard - but for the fact that nobody on the banzuke was missing, neither kyujo nor kosho. Never happended before, and never will again, I guess.

Once again I had to add one win in Makuuchi and two in Juryo and below for banzuke making purposes, yet there is still more bad luck than good luck to be found, I'm afraid.

Pandaazuma knows the drill by now as this is the fourth time he couldn't escape kadoban. He'll be back once again, no doubt! B-)

Shimodahito took the lead by tie-breakers yesterday and defended it with another win on Senshuraku, so the yusho (along with the shukunsho) goes to the Master of Torchbearing - omedeto!

Yusho:
J2w Shimodahito (9-6) (Yushowinner...)

Kanto-sho:
(not awarded)

Gino-sho:
S1w Kaiomitsuki (12-12)

Shukun-sho:
J2w Shimodahito (4.824)

Thank you for playing, see ya in March!
