I think hokutofuji has a great chance to get to Ozeki. I really like his attitude and he really gives it a 100 %.  I was lucky enough to get this signature as he was leaving the basho on day 9 Kyushu. I told him good luck towards getting Ozeki. Also I did like that when I approached him for a quick chat and signature, his tsukebito said to me "dame" but hokutofuji was a gentlemen and gave me some of his time. I was very impressed. Come on daiki.

Pool closed - round-up

A great response of 40 to this poll!

Good news for Hakuho - only a couple of people do not expect to see him on the January 2019 banzuke.  Not such good news for Kakuryu - only 12.5% of us expect to see him around, banzuke-wise, in 2019.  We're split nearly 50-50 on Kisenosato's fate.

A small - but equal - number of people expect to see Goeido or Takayasu promoted to Yokozuna.  It's the same number that expect to see a non-Ozeki promoted to Yokozuna within the next 6 bashos!  Brave predictions.

Over half of us predict that Mitakeumi will be promoted to Ozeki.  A quarter of us expect Hokutofuji to become Ozeki this year - with nearly as many predicting for Onosho.  Takakeisho has significant support for his push.  Tamawashi also gets multiple votes - but no other rikishi gets more than a single supporter.
