WAKATAKE 2,631 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) Hi everyone! Sorry it's taking me forever to get "The Perfect Team" off the ground, hopefully everything will be set by tomorrow. In the meantime, I have been able to come up with another game, and this one will be very simple. Class Dismissed (Revamped) involves collegiate rikishi only. Pick a team of 15 collegiate rikishi and one alternate in case someone goes kyujo right at shonichi. You will score a point for each KK that is achieved. If you know someone is going to go kyujo beforehand, then you will want to change your list. List of collegiate rikishi is shown below, with parenthesis being that rikishi's rank for the basho: Asahi University (朝日大学) - Tokushinho (makushita 23) - Aozora (makushita 33) Chuo University (中央大学) - Takekaze (maegashira 13) - Yago (juryo 14) - Ichiyamamoto (makushita 26) Doshisha University (同志社大学) - Aratora (sandanme 62) Kanazawa Gakuin University (金沢学院大学) - Enho (makushita 14) - Tanabe (sandanme 16) Kinki University (近畿大学) - Takarafuji (maegashira 5) - Asanoyama (maegashira 11) - Homarefuji (juryo 1) - Tokushoryu (juryo 3) - Shimanoumi (makushita 3) - Tamaki (makushita 15) - Oiwato (makushita 16) - Ikegawa (makushita 37) - Midorifuji (makushita 46) - Nishikifuji (makushita 52) Komazawa University (駒澤大学) - Shohozan (maegashira 3) Kyorin University (杏林大学) - Shunba (sandanme 9) Kyushu Institute of Information Sciences (九州情報大学) - Azumaryu (juryo 4) - Koba (makushita 32) - Ichiki (makushita 43) - Irie (makushita 47) Kwansei Gakuin University (関西学院大学) - Ura (maegashira 16) Meiji University (明治大学) - Takemasa (makushita 33) Nihon University (日本大学) - Daishomaru (maegashira 7) - Endo (maegashira 9) - Daiamami (maegashira 14) - Ishiura (juryo 1) - Tsurugisho (juryo 8) - Hidenoumi (juryo 10) - Yamaguchi (juryo 10) - Tobizaru (makushita 1) - Kizenryu (makushita 2) - Mitoryu (makushita 4) - Satoyama (makushita 5) - Kizaki (makushita 7) - Akiseyama (makushita 9) - Jokoryu (makushita 14) - Tenkaiho (makushita 17) - Shiba (makushita 20) - Tsushimanada (makushita 35) - Kisenoyama (makushita 49) - Maeta (jonidan 16) Nippon Sports Science University (日本体育大学) - Yoshikaze (sekiwake) - Chiyotairyu (maegashira 2) - Hokutofuji (maegashira 3) - Myogiryu (maegashira 15) - Chiyonoumi (makushita 27) - Higonojo (makushita 39) - Tomokaze (sandanme 53) Ritsumeikan University (立命館大学) - Hotsukasa (makushita 27) *=formerly Omoto Senshu University (専修大学) - Mitotsukasa (makushita 58) - Tetsuyuzan (sandanme 9) - Fukuyama (sandanme 13) - Arikawa (jonidan 82) Takushoku University (拓殖大学) - Takaryu (makushita 10) - Hatooka (makushita 41) Tokyo University of Agriculture (東京農業大学) - Shodai (maegashira 7) - Yutakayama (juryo 3) - Sotairyu (makushita 51) - Kamiyutaka (sandanme 69) Toyo University (東洋大学) - Mitakeumi (sekiwake) - Wakatakakage (makushita 12) - Murata (makushita 22) - Sagatsukasa (makushita 32) - Horyuyama (makushita 40) - Kaonishiki (makushita 60) - Komakiryu (sandanme 34) - Masakaze (sandanme 60) Deadline to submit your picks is to post in this thread before 12am JST shonichi (11/12/17)/7am PST (11/11/17). Achiyama 1,223 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) Hi Wakatake, One question: Is there a multiplication factor, so to know how to arrange the rikishi on the list? Edited November 7, 2017 by Achiyama

Achiyama san, No, this will be a straight guess who will get KK or not. Hence why I'm asking everybody to pick 15 different rikishi. Thanks!
WAKATAKE 2,631 Posted November 9, 2017 So everybody's clear on this one: - Pick 15 rikishi (any level) and one alternate - KK will equal one win while MK equals one loss - Tiebreakers will go by the following criteria 1. Most yusho by rikishi on your team (any level) 2. Most jun-yusho/yusho-doten by rikishi on your team (any level) 3. Strength of KK finish for sekitori picks (will look at only equal number of picks, example if one player picks 10 sekitori but the second player picked only 8, we will compare 8 picks) 4. Wins by picks over yokozuna and ozeki THANKS FOR PLAYING!!!

I think the issue though would be if everybody weren't choosing the same number of sekitori versus lower level rikishi? There are no restrictions or requirements for whether you choose sekitori or rikishi ranked makushita or lower.

Therefore Flohru is the inaugural yusho winner for Class Dismissed! For banzuke purposes kuroimori will be ranked above chishafuwaku due to kuroimori's top 6 sekitori picks having a better combined record over chishafuwaku. Banzuke for Hatsu 2018: flohru (12-3, mz) S Achiyama (12-3, mz) WAKATAKE (11-4, mz) K kuroimori (10-5, mz) chishafuwaku (10-5, mz) K Taikoubana (6-9, mz) M1 Thanks for playing and hoping to see you all for Hatsu 2018! 1
