This sounds like an Ultimatum to me but there are Criteria for the Promotion to Ozeki and Yokozuna (they are described in the Rules).

Here are the Criteria for Ozeki promotion:

Promotion to Ozeki

  • Sanyaku rank on the recent two tournaments and at least the last one is Sekiwake.
  • Kachi-Koshi results on the recent four tournaments
  • At least one Yusho or Jun-Yusho (by kekka, not points) on the recent four tournaments
  • At least 30 kekka points on the recent three basho

I just checked your scores.

as during 2017 Haru you had a MK (6 wins) - you would be eligible for promotion to Ozeki during 2018 Hatsu, of course you have to finish KK during Aki and Kyushu, and you have to climb to Sanyaku rank next Banzuke and keep it (reach Sekiwake in 2018 Hatsu Banzuke). It's not necessary to get another Yusho or Jun Yusho to be eligible for Ozeki in January, but one will help you to get to Sanyaku.

I can't make compromises as Oshirokita who achieved 2 Yusho in 3 consecutive basho didn't get an Ozeki rank for the same reason - no 4 consecutive KK scores.

Best Regards,

Achiyama - TUG Rijicho

And we start the Overall Standings with a Co-Leadership: Gurowake and Shokikogi are Co-Leaders with 41 points.

Kumanoyama is at 3rd place, 1 point behind the co-Leaders, with 40 points.

Katunazuma is at 4th place, 3 points behind the co-Leaders, with 38 points.

Sakura and Jakusotsu who share the 5th place, 4 points behind the co-Leaders, round up Top-6 with 37 points.

Tsubame is at the doorsteps of Top-6, only 6 points behind the co-Leaders, with 35 points.

And something, which never happened before in history of TUG, after Day 2 there is not a single Gamer who hasn't scored points. Excellent start I'd say.
