Asashosakari 19,682 Posted April 8, 2017 11 hours ago, Tsuchinoninjin said: If it helps any I noticed that some browsers act differently how you select the table for pasting. i.e. if you make white space above and below the table and select from whitespace-to-whitespace with the table in the middle its a better chance of success, then just selecting only the table. Yes, that's an issue; depending on the complexity of the table format, the copy-to-clipboard may need to pick up at the very start of the table so including some whitespace can help. (For extreme cases, there's always Ctrl+A.) The problem I've experienced recently is definitely related to some behavioral changes in the forum editor though, as I haven't changed anything about how I paste, and Naganoyama was kind enough to confirm that she's able to duplicate my observations. Exil has escalated the issue to the forum engine developers, and we're just waiting to see if anything comes of it. (Hopefully not even more breakage, in case the new behaviour is a "feature".) Profomisakari 874 Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) The following table (4 columns) I have transferred from Excel to Word and there converted the table to text (Layout ==> Data ==> Convert to Text ==> Separate Text by Other, where the used separator is a white space)To post it here I only used Firefox.Important:Use Courier New or any other equidistant font! All field contents must have the same length. You can fill it with white spaces. The old version always posted several consecutive spaces as only one space. This is also what the German Sumoforum does. So I use until today instead of two spaces once " ." (Space - point) or only points.Problem: The lines are not written closely one after the other. To get this, release all "Enter" and replace them with Shift left / Enter!
