Wrong! All wrong. So sad.

Myogiru was just announced on NHK as Takarafuji's Day 15 aite.

You are right, completely overlooked that.

Omedetou to the Senshuraku Kinboshi! And also the Yusho, right?

Comments:

Nobody displayed 'Ozeki Quality' this past basho, but Yusho and Jun-Yusho winners have been considered favourably.

Yokozuna Jakusotsu once again did not display Ozeki Quality GKA Sumo, and this is becoming a concern.  However his undefeated streak continues, and that is to be applauded.

Yokozuna Kuroimori achieved a share of the Jun-Yusho.  We hope he continues to perform this high standard as 2017 continues.

Gernobono has been promoted to Ozeki, after achieving back-to-back yushos.  He will be considered for promotion to Yokozuna if he wins the yusho in March, and has at least one more win than the Jun-Yusho winner(s).
