That's against the current rules for the game..... But I suppose we could have an unofficial side-game for anyone who could be bothered to play, as it really would be tricky.... Maybe for Takakeisho? Rocks 1,807 Posted January 2, 2017 That doesn't really help much. Is this supposed to be you guess the order of his opponents for the 1st three days?

We are choosing who will be 'the target' for this basho. (We no longer use Kisenosato, as he is an Ozeki.) I am in a rush now, but will set the game up properly later today. Jejima 1,345 Posted January 3, 2017 Announcing the January 2017 edition of Guess Kisenosato's Aite.... But for M1E Takarafuji.... All you have to do is guess M1E Takarafuji's opponent each day, before the torikumi comes out. If you guess correctly, you get a shiroboshi. This is surprisingly more fun (or frustrating) and challenging than it should be. It also gets you to think a bit more about the 'inner-workings' of sumo. Here is the current banzuke:- Jakusotsu (Y1E 7-8) Y1 Kuroimori (Y1W 5-10) Gurowake (O1E 6-9) O1 Andonishiki (O1W Kosho) Ryoshishokunin (S1E 6-9) S1 Gernobono (K1W 8-7) Jejima (K2E 6-9) K1 PhorCillic (M3W 8-7) orandashoho (M1E 6-8-1) K2 Tenshinhan (M1W 6-9) M1 chishafuwaku (S1W 5-10) McBugger (K1E 5-10) M2 Profomisakari (M2E 4-11) shimodahito (M3E Kosho) M3 The Kyokai (M4E 4-11)Harry (mz 7-8) M4 Sakura (mz 6-9) Banzuke-gaiKaiomitsuki (M2W 0-0-15) Comments: Yokozuna Jakusotsu did not display Ozeki Quality Bench Sumo in November 2016, although it is noted that he was challenging for the Yusho right up until the last day, and this is to be commended as a positive step, as he looks to regain his yusho winning ways. Shin-Yokozuna Kuroimori went MK in his first basho at the top rank in November 2016. As it was his first basho at the top rank, it has not been considered too harshly.... But better is expected in this basho. Gernobono will be considered from promotion to Ozeki, if he wins the yusho again in January 2017. The rules are as follows:- 1. Guess M1E Takarafuji's opponents on each day of the basho. 2. Entries need to be in before 11:30 am Japan time on the previous day, except for the days 1 and 2 entries which need to be in before 11:30 am Japan time on the Friday prior to the start of the basho. If it turns out that the daily toriukumi is printed before these times, then any entry proved to have come afterwards is not allowed for that day (so enter early to be safe). 3. Tie-breakers to decide the Yusho.... We look at the result of the day 15 prediction, then day 14, and so on back to day 1. If still a tie, then the highest ranked on the banzuke can claim the Yusho. 4. If M1E Takarafuji goes kyujo during the basho, we switch to M1W Mitakeumi (M2E Shohozan, then M2W Awarawshi kept further in reserve, if needed due to a mass spate of kyujos) for the days after his fusensho loss (I.e. we can still guess who gets the freebie). For the immediate day afterwards, (unless it is known very soon after the event), everyone will get a 'kyujo'. 5. Players that are leading the Yusho race (especially in the final few days of the basho), are requested / expected to get their picks in very early (before all the other players, if possible) - in order to avoid suspicions of 'tactical picking'. Special prizes (many thanks to Yaochoyama): 1. Outstanding performance (shukun-sho) - the one who correctly picks the aite the most consecutive days. You have to have a minimum of three to win this prize. 2. Fighting spirit (kanto-sho) - the one who limits their incorrect aite picks to the shortest number of consecutive days (literally the one whose longest losing streak is the shortest). Any losing streak of 5 or more days would disqualify you from this prize. 3. Technique (gino-sho) - the one who is best at making correct picks when no one, or hardly anyone else does. A point system is used as follows and you need at least 3 points to claim this prize: 3 points if you're the only win to make the correct pick 2 points if you're one of two to make the correct pick 1 point if you're one of three to make the correct pick New players () are cordially invited to this game - it is an official second league © game! shimodahito 304 Posted January 4, 2017 Before Day 1: update your TORCHBEARER 2017 picks. This is your only annual window to do so. New players are welcome. Day 1: Kisenosato Before Day 2: check to make sure you updated your TORCH 2017 picks. If there was no TORCH match on Day 1, you can still submit an entry.
