Sakura Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 What a stressful day. Not time to do a proper search of past bashos for clues so I'm going with Day 5 - Takarafuji and then back to Sanyaku on Day 6
Gurowake Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 (edited) If I knew no one else was going to venture a guess on Nishikigi I would have put my guess there. Takarafuji may have been more likely, but Nishikigi wasn't that far behind and is too obvious of a guess for the NSK to be getting a kinboshi on. No early guess since record is going to start mattering earlier than normal. Edited November 16, 2016 by Gurowake
Jakusotsu Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 After day 5, the fun begins: Jakusotsu (4-1) kuroimori (4-1) Gurowake (4-1) chishafuwaku (4-1) McBugger (4-1) Jejima (4-1) Tenshinhan (4-1) PhorCillic (4-1) Harry (4-1) Sakura (4-1) Ryoshishokunin (3-2) Gernobono (3-2) orandashoho (3-2) Profomisakari (3-2) The Kyokai (1-4) Kaiomitsuki (0-0-5) shimodahito (0-0-5) Andonishiki (kosho) Shodai's aites: 1. Kotoyuki, 2. Chiyonokuni, 3. Shohozan, 4. Terunofuji, 5. Nishikigi
Profomisakari Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Day 6 Takarafuji (an absolutely new idea!)
Jejima Posted November 16, 2016 Author Posted November 16, 2016 Day 6 - I see Jakusotsu has decided to join me on my limb (that I started yesterday), as I am going to double down on Kisenosato for another day.
Harry Posted November 16, 2016 Posted November 16, 2016 Checking history (I do it all the time even though it never works out well for me) M3W was kyujo by day 6 in at least three bashos in recent memory... hopefully not a pattern. Has the participant in guess the aite ever gone kyujo in a basho before? If so, did we switch to a backup? I don't remember it happening when we always played an ozeki. In case Shodai doesn't slip and hurt himself in the ofuro tonight I will choose: Day 6: Takarafuji

If Shodai goes kyujo, we will switch to M3E Endo. Yes, we've had a kyujo before in the past.
