On Apr. 14th in Matsumoto, Nagano, close to Mitakeumi's hometown Agematsu, which makes him the star among the 4 locals (as the only sekitori). Ex-Hokutoriki (Tanigawa) was there for PR.

Tamanoi-oyakata (jungyo no. 2) and the mayor of Komaki-city, Aichi, where the jungyo is on Apr. 3rd. The city mascot is rikishi type, Komakiyama - symbol for the city symbol, Mt. Komaki.

A slightly different picture for this one: no oyakata but an ex-member of the Nichidai sumo club and friend of Hakuho as top of the organizing committee went to the mayor to announce a jungyo on Apr. 20th in Kashiwa-city, Chiba. http://www.asahi.com/articles/ASJCY35PTJCYUDCB006.html

Nah, they will just slap on a yokozuna label on Kisenosato. They can only get an official tsuna picture with Kisenosato after the dohyo-iri soon.

He may or may not be present there (I'm sure he will though): Kise will be kyujo for the Haru jungyo which starts on the 2nd - one month of medical treatment needed, but he may enter later. http://www.sanspo.com/sports/news/20170329/sum17032912340005-n1.html

Hitachiomiya is 2 weeks into the jungyo, on the 16th, I guess he'll want to do at least a dohyo-iri there and in the pref. capital Mito on the 21st.

A dozen sekitori on the kyujo list for the start of the jungyo, most of them from the top flight. Hopefully the two Yokozuna will be able to join later even if only for dohyo-iri duty.

Makuuchi: Hakuho, Kisenosato, Goeido, Terunofuji, Takekaze, Arawashi, Kaisei, Tochinoshin, Kyokushuho, Chiyoo.
Juryo: Chiyootori, Fujiazuma.

Looks like Takanoiwa won the Ise shrine mini tournament, beating Harumafuji en route to the finals where he beat Kakuryu.

The jungyo started in Ise today. I guess all locations were sold out way before - now the people are flustered they won't see Kise - that's what they came for - and remaining tickets might remain.

The exact contents of Kisenosato's medical diagnosis (previously just "left upper arm muscle injury") have been revealed now, presumably because of his absence from the jungyo tour: it's an injury to both his pectoralis major as well as the biceps muscle. Do note that this is the original diagnosis from his trip to the hospital after Day 12 of the basho, so the possible results of further checkups they intended to do are not reflected in that diagnosis. However, the press reports that he has restarted practice today, behind closed doors for now in respect of the ongoing jungyo.

Edit: Meh, I misread the date. (And it would have been Day 13 in any case, of course.) Actually, it's dated from Monday the 27th, so from a follow-up check right after senshuraku.

Freaky coincidence that Kotoshogiku also suffered a similar injury.
