Asojima 2,874 Posted September 26, 2016 A few years ago, there was a guy on the other corner who would show up with a different lady each day. The ladies would strike poses while they were there. There was speculation that he was using sumo air time to do auditions.

After not doing so hot with Indiana he was traded to Golden State where he did even worse. After a year and a half of a mediocre NBA career he moved to Pana where he did very well and got paid very, very well. Three Euro titles with three different teams is wow and has never been repeated yet.. I still don't see how Pana "treated him better" other than the fact that they had unlimited cash.. Panathinaikos let him set the three-guard plays he always wanted and marshall the troops while switching between playing the point and shooting guard. It's true that they got him because of the money, but once they did get him, they let him unleash his basketball IQ by giving him freedoms he never had in Barcelona, Tel Aviv or the NBA. The numbers, man. check out the numbers. He peaked in the two years he was with Maccabi in every single category of play. except free throws and field goal percentages With all the unleashing he may have become an ultra-cool leader, but his numbers and achievements with Maccabi topped those with Pana. Maccabi was a team that did nםt depend solely on Saras. The year after he left they lost in the finals so it was not like they fell apart. Maccabi was a team that did nםt depend אםאשךךט on Saras. The year after he left they lost in the finals so it was not like they fell apart. First off, Jasikevicius didn't lead Panathinaikos either, Diamantidis and Alvertis did. And Panathinaikos were still winning after he left too. I don't doubt that he was a more valuable asset in Tel Aviv than in Athens and I never did. I'm just saying that the club, the front office and most importantly the coach treated him better here and let him do what HE wanted to. Pini Gershon used Sharas very successfully. Zeljko Obradovic let him be the most awesome cog in the coolest basketball team in Europe, using him as a twin point to play with Diamantidis and not instead of him. He had better years in your village and happier years in mine. By the way I am hell bent on Obradovic being a better coach than Gershon. edit: not clear enough. He didn't morally lead Panathinaikos, which was Diamantidis and Frankie's job. He did lead them on the court as a twin point. Thanks Dunkin'tamayama & McBuggsketball Oh man, that game was the best! Saras was a beauty, and the Dream Team got their arse handed to them! Athens was laughing its head off that day. Thanks for posting this. The 2004 Olympics were a wonderful time to be here- even with the horrific financial consequences they brought about. e: What a US team!
