Jakusotsu 5,874 Posted July 22, 2004 Wonders happen best when unexpected. Guess what I received today?! The May 2004 Edition of SUMO WORLD, the first since March 2003. I read some rumours on the SML about Mr.Newton taking up foreign business again (see here), but I never thought he still had my subscription details. (Well, I don't have them either - no clue how many issues are still pending...) Although I must say that the quality of the mag is very poor in comparison with former glory (not a single colour page inside) and it came about two basho late, I will try and contact Mr.Newton via the two different email addresses in the contact information. (qqgwh651@yahoo.co.jp and cpnen@iac.co.jp) Not much hope with that either since they still advertise www.sumoworld.com...
Ryunokaze 0 Posted July 24, 2004 No doubt...It's a very poor publication, now. I hope somebody can pull it together, but I doubt Newton has enough respect or ability to pull a shoe-lace. Enjoy it while it lasts... P.S. I haven't received a single copy since December 1999.Nor have I received any explanation.I think that Newton has realized that the subscription money has dried-up.So now a issue or two has come out... Be skepetical(very)...
Mark Buckton 1 Posted July 25, 2004 Skeptical. Yuichi-kun - do you get off stalking - cos* that what you seemed to spend your Saturday night in doing isn't it. How may of Ryunokaze's posts did you respond to? Thought you were bored with sumo? If so why do you keep coming back like the proverbial one that won't flush? Begone bygod begone. * - correct spelling - 'because' before you feel the need to correct. :-/
