adam139 4 Posted February 17, 2016 Sumo has always held a special allure for me, but I did not find any good materials on the subject until I found Chris Gould's books on the Amazon kindle store (which I need to review at some point in the next week). I was hooked after watching some of Chiyonofuji's brilliant bouts. I wrestled in highschool, have continued to lift weights, and would be interested in one day participating in an amateur event. Shiko is a fantastic exercise. It is meditative and demanding, deceptively simple, but devastaingly effective. Practicing it only continues to strengthen my fascination with and respect for this sport. Sincerely, Adam

Here's a couple of sites that can help you find clubs and events possibly near you: By chance is it the club in Oceanside? I visited Oceanside for two months last year and will likely be doing it again this spring. I will also be in San Francisco for a couple weeks. Wakaebala 151 Posted February 22, 2016 Will you put some videos of this US Sumo Open in May? I'd be really interested, although I watched an advertising video about american ama-sumo, and it was very different than Ozumo... :) but not always in a bad way, I mean no harm :) It could be interesting to watch or read some kind of coverage of the tournament!
