Kasutera Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I guess Universal Sports Network relinquished distribution rights after a year. Here is LAST year's U.S. Sumo Open. Good to have a nice high-quality video of some ama-sumo on the internet, with the added historical significance of seeing the genesis of Homarenishiki. 4
hamcornheinz Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Amateur sumo in the states is almost always ACTUALLY a bunch of fat people pushing each other around....
Gurowake Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) When i saw "high-quality" near "ama-sumo" I was going to say something about the complete lack of quality of American/International sumo, but I then noticed it's the video that's high-quality, not the sumo. Gurowake Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Brodi vs. ex-Wakanoho 57:09 Brodi vs. Byamba 1:23:30 Brodi looked just as stiff and uncomfortable as he does now in Ozumo. Edited December 1, 2015 by Gurowake
Tenshinhan Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 @Kasutera: Did you participate in this tournament?
ALAKTORN Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Brodi did amazingly there. I can definitely see the potential.
Kasutera Posted December 7, 2015 Author Posted December 7, 2015 @Kasutera: Did you participate in this tournament? I did, but didn't make it past the prelim rounds. You can catch some footage of me losing to Sebastian Videla in one of the cuts to commercial. 3
