He did some butsugari with Juryo Daiki for some 15 mninutes. "We the high-rankers have the responsibility of training these guys. He has great oshi skills and since he has just made it to the higher ranks I will be lending my chest to him tomorrow and the day after as well.." he said. Kintamayama 38,047 Posted August 17, 2016 Injured Ozeki Terunofuji joined the jungyo at Akita yesterday. No matches, just was there, waving to the crowds. He flew to Mongolia immediately after the basho for two weeks of medical care. "It's the first time I've been away for so long but I was able to get serious medical treatment. It happened in Aomori , training with the likes of Takekaze and Miss Piggy Nishikigi for 11 bouts. "I've been building up my body well so I did not waver and felt good about doing sumo. My body is pretty much back in shape," he stated, probably smiling that creepy smile. Kintamayama 38,047 Posted August 20, 2016 (edited) 4th time Kadoban Ozeki Goueidou sweated a lot yesterday. He faced Shoudai ("because I lost to him last basho") for 7 bouts and won them all, and then faced Nishikigi and Daieishou each twice, no results given. That was it. "There's still a lot of jungyo left.." he said. Today, Goueidou faced Shoudai again, this time for three bouts after facing him seven times yesterday. Shoudai didn't win any of them. "Just doing sumo with an Ozeki is a great experience. Last basho my body was moving especially well. I managed to bring myself to a point where I was in good physical shape. It would be great if I could continue to keep this level," added Shoudai who was 9-6 at M5, beating two Ozeki on the way.
