All kind of local activities in connection to his komusubi promotion take place in Agematsu town, and similar ones happen for Endo in Anamizu town: A jinku dedicated to him, Noto no Satoumi (part of an agricultural world heritage), will be presented in the kokugikan at an event in Haru. http://www.chunichi.co.jp/article/ishikawa/20161112/CK2016111202000041.html

It will go on sale on the 6th in the area around Neyagawa, 2040 sheets for 1500yen each, and should there really be some left, on the 15th at the post office internet shop.  http://hirakata.keizai.biz/headline/262/

Ura is coming!! And 200 had lined up before the start to see him pound mochi in a shopping district in Sasazuka, Shibuya ward, and get some. After the start the line grew even longer. The revenue from the mochi sales goes to disaster relief for the Kumamoto quake.

Ura: "Terrific, isn't it. But I think, all come for the mochi, not for me.:-)"

And this year it's Mitakeumi, only in the region and only 1500 sets. Nearly all sold on the first day, should be sold out by now. http://www.post.japanpost.jp/notification/pressrelease/2016/06_shinetsu/0622_01.html

The set: 10 stamps and 2 postcards:

Again a set for Mitakeumi will be on sale http://www.post.japanpost.jp/kitte_hagaki/stamp/frame/detail.php?id=130

this time no postcards - a 10-stamps frame with a special clear file:

Again for 2000yen, 2000 sold in post offices in Nagano-pref. on the 3rd, and 50 on the 5th 0:15h JST available on the net. The 1500 sets last year were sold out within 3 days - now as sekiwake (and with the recent pace of sumo sales), it will likely take even less time. http://www.chunichi.co.jp/article/nagano/20170629/CK2017062902000031.html

Daimaru is partnering with Taganoura beya to produce a themed osechi bento for pre-orders.
At the product debut today, the osechi bento comes with a Kisenosato tegata print on the cover.
Don't know if they will ask Kisenosato to stamp so many covers.

chanko-nabe sold separately.

PS: for those fans of Iron Chef, Chen Kenichi is also featured lower down the list.

Were many of these sold? Looks capacious and very yummy, ideal for a box full of people, but a bit expensive.

(and they'd be fighting who gets to keep the tin)

These are osechi bentos, normally eaten by families over New Year celebration.

Daimaru is taking preorders right now for NY deliveries.

And rightfully so...
I am curious now... how long does the NSK retain image rights? For the duration of a rikishi's active career? Until his danpatsu-shiki? Beyond that? What if he stays in the NSK, what if he doesn't?

Thank you for writing in. It was written, and well known, that the glare in Chiyonofuji’s  eyes penetrated his opponents psyche, and defeated most, before the match even started. So we wanted to tap into the mind games and intensity in his eyes. The way he would strike fear with his eyes. We were just drawing similarities with Wolf characteristics and him being known as the Wolf. Hopefully you can see what we were aiming to accomplish. Thank you for reaching out.

Thumpers main designer Kris Buhidar condensed a phrase by Chiyonofuji into 'Slowly' 'Surely' : 一歩一歩確実に積み重ねていく - step by step, piling it up with certainty
