Can those multitudinous Banzuke Surfing topics not be concatenated into one topic somehow?

We tried, and it didn't get better.

Not sure how I managed to be third last in Toto and get one of the few 10s in Sumo Game!

I somehow managed to get only 1 out of the first ten or eleven Juryo bouts right! A personal record!! ;)

Do I win five pounds?

Should be easier than to lose 5 pounds. B-)

Note - or rather mantra - to self:

Trust the ozeki!

Trust the mighty ozeki!

Trust the omnipotent ozeki!

(even if they don't deserve it...)

Tomorrow is a nightmare in the games! Fortunately I am in a bar so eternal wisdom has come to me. Just picked all my lads...and it is a nightmare!

Congratulations, Flohru!!

Accidentally forgot to enter a pick in ISP for Day 6 and auto-picked the higher ranked Osunaarashi into a win when going by my Toto pick I would have picked Aoiyama. Better lucky than good.

What possessed me to pick both Fujiazuma and Jokoryu as my "low-ranked rikishi who should have an okay basho and serve as helpful bench fodder and possible low-rank tiebreaker winners" in Bench this basho?

I feel your pain. The only think stopping me beating Oscar yesterday in SG was Ama being an utter muppet and somehow 'losing' to Tamawashi. It was hard to believe at the time, and even harder to believe he lost to Gagamaru today. Losing two straight days to those extremely average (and that's polite flattery) rikishi means his head is not fully in the game.

This basho has looked pretty damn good most of the way so far but of course I never fully believe in me hitting jackpots in pre-basho games until it's all over on day 15 and my various teams are somehow still standing. Instead I almost expect things to collapse at any moment, but we'll see, I certainly can't say that it's looking bad. Quite the opposite in an unusual number of places and games which is pretty exciting and also kind of extra motivation for the dailies with the combined number of world championship points at least within sight.

Unfortunately I lost in Bench today to the nearest challenger Oskanohana and tomorrow against Randomitsuki look very tricky.

I thought Harumafuji was slightly underquota for Odd against Gagamaru, but it was the best shot at completing my bet with Arawashi (taking Hakuho as well). When Arawashi managed to win, I thought I was set. But no.

Someone in Bingo has the same rikishi as me, although in different locations (we disagree on the center as well as one of the corners, and obviously in overall placement) and while we have different scores some days, it's managed to average out to be perfectly even.

Would someone please tell me what the Day 11 ISP match is?

Ikioi vs. Okinoumi

(see aso at the Games Bugs thread)

a strange thing is happining to me right now

overall bad at sekitoto this basho, there is some really frustrating result for me this basho

on 11 days i do not have a single correct pick for the first juryo-bout for all days

of course it might also happen for bout 12 ie., but the first one just sticks out.....

The Sumo game travesty continues, this time Takekaze peed in my pool.... :-(

I assumed I had won in SG when I scrolled down to the Ms Yusho arasoi and was still in first tied with one other person, as I had been after Day 10. When it still said 9 wins I thought it must have been bugged somehow and hadn't updated, as the leaderboard looked just as it did after Day 10. But it really did say after Day 11, and due to the fact that everyone with 8 or 9 wins lost it just looked exactly the same at the top. I then checked the torikumi to see that I indeed had lost.

Successful cross-over jinx from games to the real action! All (real) rikishi with 9 or 10 wins lost today...

Hoshitori question for Doitsuyama.

I never noticed this before but the popularity of Osunaarashi in the picks brought it out. In Kuroimori's team, he has got the -10 points for Osunaarashi's MK, but in Taka's team there is no such penalty for the same rikishi. One explanation is that Taka's substitute (Ikioi) got a KK, while Kuroimori's (Myogiryu) got a MK. I didn't check any others. Just wondering what the rule is...I suspect it's all ironed out on senshuraku with the other bonuses??

The substitue is replacing an injured rikishi not only with his results, but also the KK is calculated as an aggregate of both results, i.e.8 wins for both together give the KK bonus.
