Achiyama 1,223 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) WOW Can You imagine, guys, nobody got a single point on Senshuraku! I am still in disbelief! Edited May 24, 2015 by Achiyama
Flohru 176 Posted May 24, 2015 I also chose option 2 (another way would be to assign the average points scored by all players on that day...) Hm, your idea is kind of strange as in this case one could not lose and would score anyway (thus making not picking any bout a good strategy if you just need a few more points to win the yusho). Not that it matters anymore, but I would have chosen option 2 as well. And I do think that is the way fusen bouts should be handled in future. I am kind of surprised Achiyama came up with the idea just a day after the kind of similar Goeido incident!

I new about Tenshinhan's pick in advance and I just wanted to see what is the oipinion of the Gamers. BTW I proposed (2.) based on your suggestion which was cited by you in you message. I thought it became clear that the right way to go was (1.). But we shouldn't care, as everybody got 0 points on Senshuraku.

Achiyama 1,223 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) After the surprising scores on Senshuraku the Standings remain the same as after Day 14. I'll post the Final Standings Tables tomorrow. Yesterday, I went to bed at 6:00 a.m. and feel exhausted. Once again, thank you very much for your support! Congratulations to Shokikogi, the TUG Yusho Winner (Yusho winner...) and ScreechingOwl, the Jun-Yusho Winner (Second prize...) for 2015 Natsu basho ! (Zabuton flying...) I thought it became clear that the right way to go was (1.). But we shouldn't care, as everybody got 0 points on Senshuraku. Well, in both cases the bout didn't take place in terms of TUG and the gamers had no chance to change their pick prior to the deadline, raising the question if they should get an automatic substitute pick. But it is no big deal anyway, so get your well-deserved rest now, Achiyama, and thanks for providing the game and comments!
Tenshinhan 1,599 Posted May 25, 2015 I HAVE A PROBLEM REGARDING TENSHINHAN'S PICK AND I HOPE YOU'LL HELP ME MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION (I WOULD HAVE DONE THIS FOR ANY OF THE GAMERS PARTICIPATING IN TUG FOR FAIR AND EQUAL TREATMENT). Oops, sorry for causing inconvenience. I just expected 0 points when I heard about Goeidos kyujo. A substitute would have been a solution but it was too difficult for me to imagine the torikumi for senshuraku. Anyway, fortunately nobody got points, so it doesn't matter. Many thanks to Achiyama for all the work and congratulations to Shokikogi!
Achiyama 1,223 Posted May 25, 2015 (edited) I took some time and double checked all the scores (as I usually do at the end of each basho). I found an error on Day 14 - I gave more points than I had to for Kyokutenho's pick. I assigned 27 points, and the real ones were 24. Obviously, I mistakenly gave the points of Kyokushuho. This was the day when I had to finalize the Tables before I post the Final Torikumi and make the CUT line. There is no effect on the final Standings - just 6 Gamers got 3-points reduction of their scores. Sorry about that. Here are the final 2 Tables: Â And the Final Standings Table. The Gamers with the same final scores are arranged using Tiebreaker #1. Â Edited August 14, 2017 by Achiyama
Shokikogi 33 Posted May 25, 2015 Jippie, then it´s official! The first yusho (in a game with more than 5 participants)! (Zabuton flying...) (First prize...) (Zabuton flying...) This basho´s TUG was a close race and overall with low scores related to the last basho. But a yusho is a yusho, especially with such hard competitors. I must gambarize more to approve this yusho and wish all other gamers also all the best and luck for TUG at Nagoya 2015! (Bow...) And of course many thanks to Achiyama for the idea and the running of this game! (Applauding...)

JUN YUSHO: ScreechingOwl 159 points (Second prize...) KANTO-SHO: Shokikogi 26 points Gernobono 26 points Wamahada 26 points Jejima 26 points GINO-SHO: Gernobono 84 points SHUKUN-SHO: Shokikogi 50 points I decided to establish a new Award - Achiyama Award. The winner of this award would be the participant(s), who win most Golden Bonus Points. The idea is the Gamers to explore more possibilities and look outside of the most popular pick(s) of the day. The first Winners are: ACHIYAMA AWARD: Wamahada 15 points (3 days) Chishafuwaku 15 points (3 days) Congratulations to the Winners and Sansho holders !!! Thanks to all participants for your support and willingness to participate in TUG. Hope to see you all as well as the KOSHO gamers in July at Nagoya Basho! Achiyama 1,223 Posted May 29, 2015 (edited) hmmmmm anyone know, where the guy who's name starts with gernobon is in this list? Oh Man, did I miss to place you in the Kekka format? I am so sorry. :-( If you look at the banzuke and see that you have 10-5, you can find you place after Pandaazuma. I'll fix the list and re-post it. Sorry about the error.
