Morty 1,505 Posted January 11, 2015 All that padding covering the braces is very bad news for Osunaarashi at his age. Two buggered knees is a hard problem to deal with. He might be better having three or four basho off, healing fully, then blitzing his way back up the banzuke. And given they spent a lot of time doing keiko together pre basho and drew about even, I was greatly anticipating the Endo-Ichinojo bout. Andonishiki 170 Posted January 11, 2015 I heard from well-informed sources, that Osuna is not really injured, just playin some tactics... maybe escaping some sweaty training sessions due to injury claims... I didnt pick him in most games this time, which might prove as a mistake... winning a 98sec bout against a very fit Tenku, escaping multiple ketaguri attemps and ending with a fine kubinage... didnt look like an injured habibi to me... personal opinion: he is fit and might surprise to the upside from his current rank. He seriously took offense when he was given as a hint by Asashosakari on a trivia question involving rikishi that hadn't beaten an Ozeki. He had some phlegmon inflammation on his leg (with fever), the same Dejima had (I just heard that somewhere and have no definite source for it).
