This is the final annual poll from me for this year.

Goeido managed to get himself promoted to Ozeki in 2014, but he will start 2015 kadoban. How will he do? Will he put up 'Ozeki-like' numbers for his bashos?

Please comment below with your votes, and predict his actual rank on the January 2016 banzuke (e.g. O1W).

He will share the 2 sekiwake slots with Ichinojo. His will be on the west.

I think I voted Komusubi (I forgot, as it's Goeido and I don't really care what I did think about him 10 seconds ago).

I find it equally likely that he will occupy BOTH Sekiwake slots, just to make his laughable promotion seem less faulty.

I think he'll hang on to his Ozeki rank late Kotooshu style, with nearly every other basho Kadoban.

O2e, 1 double digit basho, 4 KK

Ozeki 2 West

Zero 10-win bashos

4 KK

He'll require propping up to stay an Ozeki--he'll stumble, but he won't be demoted.

[small edit to keep my picks consistent between threads]

4 KK

1 10+

OE

I think he will hang on, but with difficulty, a patchy performance and a rare 10+ and perhaps kadoban again by July.

I think that with greatest efforts he can finally get a hold of the ozeki rank in 2015,

shaking of kadoban at Hatsu 2015, but he will have another kadoban experience this year.

He will be ranked at O1w on the Hatsu 2016 banzuke.

5 kk, 2 with double-digit number of wins.

Goeido will be ranked at Ozeki 2 West for January 2016.

Over half of us guessed correctly that he would keep his Ozeki rank. teo_heel, Finngall and chishafuwaku all correctly guessed the actual rank of O2W.

His record for the year was....

Jan - 8-7

Mar - 8-7

May - 8-6-1

Jul - 9-6

Sep - 7-8

Nov - 8-7

Gernobono, Finngall and Oshirokita all correctly guessed that he would never get more than 10 wins during the year.

He managed a KK 5 times - correctly guessed by Kotononami, Gurowake, Terao, James Jett, chishafuwaku, kuroimori.

I'm awarding the yusho to Finngall (Yusho winner...) , and a jun-yusho to chishafuwaku (Second prize...) .
