Faustonowaka 108 Posted June 21, 2004 Who is going to be the winner of next tournament?? My guess is it's going to be Kotomitsuki
Naifuzan 1 Posted June 21, 2004 Well... as usual I guess Asashoryu. A bit boring, I know, but I have to stick with my favourites even when the're doing good :-(
amgaa99 0 Posted June 22, 2004 Actually winner is Asashoryou.
aderechelsea 124 Posted June 22, 2004 this is rather easy ...... Kaiho. ok ok i know it is not funny ..... so i will join the masses and vote Asashoryu....
Gusoyama 93 Posted June 22, 2004 Chiyotaikai. Just because he's fickle like that. (Sign of approval)
Sasanishiki 57 Posted June 22, 2004 Chiyotaikai. Just because he's fickle like that. (Sign of approval) That was my illogical gut feeling as well. When you least expect it, he'll jump out and surprise you.
Mark Buckton 1 Posted June 22, 2004 Asashoryu (and an earned kadoban status for Chiyotaikai while Musoyama has a stormer. Kaio - lots of coughs as usual but little in the way of spectacular sumo) :-( .
Fujisan 530 Posted June 23, 2004 I've been saying Taikai for 2 basho and I'm still saying TAIKAI because he will be the first to break Asa's winning run.
Jesinofuji 11 Posted June 23, 2004 Oh its going to be Asashoryu. Zensho number 3.
QttP 0 Posted June 23, 2004 I've been saying Taikai for 2 basho and I'm still saying TAIKAI because he will be the first to break Asa's winning run. I'd rather see him break Asa's face.
Fujisan 530 Posted June 23, 2004 Now,now Qtttp no need for that.
Zuikakuyama 1 Posted June 24, 2004 I wish this were in a poll form. Oh well. My logical pick is Asashoryu. He is just heads and shoulders above the rest. But I sure wish someone else would take it.
bennyloh 0 Posted June 24, 2004 Asashoryu is still the best bet, trains hard, fights hard and is consistent all along.
AsaMoe 0 Posted June 24, 2004 Though I like to listen to your discussion about the winner of the next tournament, I think, that most of you hope that someone else will win, but also know, that this is unlikely. (At least for a special pick). Nonetheless there are a few interesting questions arising, like Will Musoyama stay Ozeki, what is the performance of Tochiazuma and what are the chances of the rising stars from the last tournaments. Gusoyama 93 Posted June 24, 2004 Remember, Asa has not won a tournament in Nagoya yet.
Takanorappa 86 Posted June 24, 2004 Remember, Asa has not won a tournament in Nagoya yet. I'm still picking Asa in Bench Sumo, though (Protesting...) He's my first choice for the cup this time, anyway. C'taikai will be a close jun-yushoer. I never know about Kaio anymore...
aderechelsea 124 Posted June 24, 2004 Remember, Asa has not won a tournament in Nagoya yet. well don't you think it is about time? if not now that he is hot then when ? and Qttp ... "never" is not an answer .... (Protesting...)
Naifuzan 1 Posted June 25, 2004 Remember, Asa has not won a tournament in Nagoya yet. well don't you think it is about time? if not now that he is hot then when ? and Qttp ... "never" is not an answer .... (Protesting...) I was just thinking the same thing. That he hasnt been yokozuna that long, and he only seems to get more and more superior to the rest of the field. I say now's the time!
Cavewoman 0 Posted June 25, 2004 Chiyotaikai has a chance like a snowball in hell. NEVER!!!!! (Neener, neener...)
Fujisan 530 Posted June 26, 2004 Chiyotaikai has a chance like a snowball in hell. NEVER!!!!! (Neener, neener...) About the same as Greece beating France in the European cup-Right Cavey? Watch your words dont come back to haunt you.

Fujisan 530 Posted June 27, 2004 Well I think Futeno at least as earned a trip back to Juryo after staying at the same rank for the last two basho despite two MKs.
Yoavoshimaru 0 Posted June 29, 2004 If there's one healthy yokozuna on the banzuke, it's his basho to win or lose. Anyone else winning is a bit of a surprise, especially with our consistently inconsistent ozeki...
