I would disagree on Hakuho Sand bout. Hakuho just decided to toy with him for a little while. I even suspect some spectacular throwing was in his mind.

Regarding Kimura Tamamitsu, he's clearly been struggling with his footwork since he suffered a stroke a couple of years ago, added to the fact that he's 64 years old. During the Shonosuke interregnum last year, I don't recall seeing him participate in any Yokozuna dohyo-iri, it was always Shikimori Kindayu (now Inosuke) who filled in. I think Tamamitsu simply can't hold the sonkyo position for that length of time any more. I worry about his safety on the dohyo, but he's doing the best he can and obviously still loves doing the job.

I worry about him too. Footwork is so critical to safety in this job and a fall could hurt him badly in his general state of health. But you're right. There's obviously nowhere in the world he'd rather be.
