Takarafuji got muscle training instructions from Aminishiki, doing some ski-jumping and skating poses: TF would like to enter skating with that in the Winter Olympics. Aminishiki: "Forget it."

Can't think of a specific place for these so I guess they'll do here - some random shots of Ichinojo and some of his fellow classmates from the sumo school.

Shin-Juryo Ichinojo having his picture taken for the Natsu basho's rikishi booklet.

With a LINE mascot and the basho poster. Ichinojo celebrated his 21st birthday on April 7th.

With the yobidashi-themed towel, the Natsu basho free gift for suitably-dressed kimono day spectators.

And a few pictures from the canteen, where Ichinojo and some of his fellow students eat after a day at the sumo school.

Jonokuchi yusho winner Abiko. His goal for the Natsu basho is another zensho yusho.

Abiko and Kotaro share a laugh with Chiyoshuho, one of the active rikishi involved in teaching at the sumo school.

Standing from left: Abiko, Iida, Akutsu, Suzuki, Kototakigawa and Makushita Tsukedashi Kawabata. Crouching a little is Kotokimura.

Endo was 16-0 against makushita at the heya. Degeiko to Sakaigawa-beya (with Goeido etc.) is considered.

Ōsunaarashi did 10 with Migikataagari and lent his chest in butsukari-geiko. The injured right adductor muscle is not fully healed, doing matawari is not possible yet because of the remaining pain, but he does all that's possible.

The NSK twitter had announced the wrong date and the sokagenki-tv channel the wrong time, but since it was recorded it doesn't matter. The local channel from Soka city (Saitama) plans to broadcast more asa-geiko once a month - Takadagawa-beya has it's own Ustream channel with videos of past asa-geiko broadcasts - maybe another this year ?
Endo was 24-0 with makushita and also lent his chest for butsukari-geiko - he had no interview.

Kyokutenho did the basics and lent his chest for butsukari-geiko. Next record to break: Takamiyama as oldest rikishi in makuuchi (under the 6 basho system) on day 3 of the basho.

Sadanoumi was 6-10 with Sadanofuji and 0-11 with Goeido. He is likely to be in makuuchi next basho (who wants to change the guess?) and vows to surpass his father, former komusubi Sadanoumi.

Musashigawa-oyakata, Musashikuni and 3 other rikishi from the heya came for the opening of a new sumo ground in Ebino-city, Miyazaki, showed some basics and did keiko together with local sumo federation members.

Endo had 20 bouts with makushita at the heya on the 17th. He is remodeling his body to cope with the top rankers, e.g. +2, 3 kg to about 150.

Ichinojo follows in the steps of Endo at the sumo training institute. He won't use his special sekitori privilege to quit school earlier and wants to continue till graduation after the Aki basho.

Endo is kept busy by the NSK: he has to give 700 blank pages a handprint and sign it, more than a yokozuna usually does and they actually want even more. So far he has made 200.

Why does the sekitori keiko mawashi have that huge folding flap on the front?

Why do they only tuck it in a wee bit?

A few extra pictures from that event in Kurayoshi. The rikishi attending were shokkiri performers Kotootori and Kotodaishin (thanks Fay!), and the heya's Sandanme gyoji Shikimori Kinosuke officiated.

Thanks for all the pics Akinomaki and Yubinhaad.

Some nitpicking, it's Kotootori and Kotodaishin, not Kotodaigo.
