Jakusotsu 5,755 Posted March 24, 2014 Scores were as low as never before, forcing my hand to be quite generous this time. For banzuke making purposes, 7-8 is considered KK in Makuuchi, and 6-9 in Juryo. Furthermore, I'm happy to fill that ugly void on top and declare ScreechingOwl to be the 3rd Ozeki in this evil little game - congratulations! Jakusotsu 5,755 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) Even without his two absences, early leader Ruziklao wouldn't have been able to catch up with the eventual winner. This is the second yusho for the Panda! (...at least - I should keep count of these things (Blushing...) ) Rookie Gurowaka had a splendid basho as well, winning all three sansho - omedeto! Yusho: K1e Pandaazuma (12-3) (Yusho winner...) Kanto-sho: mz Gurowake (21) Gino-sho: M8e Leonishiki (11-11) M14e Gawasukotto (11-11) J9w Tosahayate (11-11) mz Gurowake (11-11) Shukun-sho: mz Gurowake (9.077) Congrats to the winner! Thank you for playing, see ya in July. Edited May 25, 2014 by Jakusotsu
Pandaazuma 1,310 Posted May 25, 2014 Nice to return to form in this game...I used to be an ozeki, after all. Anyway, thanks for organizing it!
Gurowake 3,886 Posted May 25, 2014 Wow, thank you very much! I'm quite surprised in general with my 4 top 10 finishes in SB games (also Odd, ISP, Roto), although they are definitely counterbalanced with a lot of awful performances, particularly in pre-basho games. I look forward to July!
