Vikanohara 171 Posted January 10, 2014 (edited) With the rise and fall of Stable Development, here's a new game for the ones who like to manage their own heya, but a little different.* Everyone can join at any moment in the game by selecting a squad of preferably 10 to a maximum of 20 rikishi, from a starting budget of 250 credits. All selections & transfers need to be done openly in the game topic. Transfers are possible once the new banzuke is out up until start of the basho. * You can buy a rikishi who's already in a squad, but it will cost you 5 extra credits for each other stable he's in (so if you for instance pick the current MsTD and he was already picked by 2 other players, he'll cost you 50 instead of 40. * You can sell at any point (in between basho), as after all the tool to success in this game will be making profit. * For the sake of competition, during each basho your 10 best scoring rikishi will count towards your basho score : 1 point for each win 2 bonus points if awarded a sansho 3 bonus points for a regular KK 5 bonus points when 1 win short for a division Yusho 7 bonus points for Yusho playoff loser 10 bonus points for Yusho winner * The best 3 scoring players each basho is/are awarded extra credits : +10 for the basho winner +5 for the 2nd/3rd * The worst 3 scoring players (with at least 10 rikishi) get(s) a new recruit for free, and first choice up until end of the month following that basho. If they all pick the same guy, other players will have to pay 15 extra credits to have that rikishi. (in red : only from 10 players) Prices according to their current spot on the banzuke : http://sumodb.sumogames.de/Banzuke.aspx 100 credits - reigning Yokozuna 90 credits - newer Yokozuna 80 credits - Ozeki 75 credits - Sekiwake 70 credits - Komusubi 60 credits - M1 59 credits - M2 & M3 58 credits - M4 & M5 57 credits - M6 & M7 56 credits - M8 & M9 55 credits - M10 & M11 54 credits - M12 & M13 53 credits - M14 & M15 52 credits - M16 & M17 50 credits - J1 49 credits - J2 48 credits - J3 47 credits - J4 46 credits - J5 & J6 45 credits - J7 & J8 44 credits - J9 & J10 43 credits - J11 & J12 42 credits - J13 & J14 40 credits - Ms1-Ms5 & MsTD 39 credits - Ms6-Ms10 38 credits - Ms11-Ms15 37 credits - Ms16-Ms20 36 credits - Ms21-Ms25 35 credits - Ms26-Ms30 34 credits - Ms31-Ms40 33 credits - Ms41-Ms50 32 credits - Ms51-Ms60 30 credits - Sd1-Sd5 29 credits - Sd6-Sd10 28 credits - Sd11-Sd15 27 credits - Sd16-Sd20 26 credits - Sd21-Sd25 25 credits - Sd26-Sd30 24 credits - Sd31-Sd35 23 credits - Sd36-Sd40 22 credits - Sd41-Sd46 21 credits - Sd47-Sd50 20 credits - Sd51-Sd60 19 credits - Sd61-Sd70 18 credits - Sd71-Sd80 17 credits - Sd81-Sd90 16 credits - Sd91-Sd100 15 credits - Jd1-Sd10 14 credits - Jd11-Jd20 13 credits - Jd21-Jd30 12 credits - Jd31-Jd40 11 credits - Jd41-Jd50 10 credits - Jd51-Jd60 9 credits - Jd61-Jd70 8 credits - Jd71-Jd80 7 credits - Jd81-Jd90 6 credits - Jd91-Jd100 5 credits - Jk1-Jk5 4 credits - Jk6-Jk10 3 credits - Jk11-Jk15 2 credits - Jk16-Jk25 1 credit - Jk26-... Vikanohara 171 Posted January 13, 2014 Only 6 players, that's not a lot. I was actually aiming for at least a dozen of players. Perhaps the 250 credits was a little too strict ? Though this will be a growing game. Well, with less than 10 players, only the best & worst player each basho will get their bonuses (instead of 3 players). And maybe by next basho more players will join in ?
Ganzohnesushi 509 Posted January 13, 2014 Only 6 players, that's not a lot. I was actually aiming for at least a dozen of players. I would have given it a try but your announcement came definitely too late to check all the no-names on the lower divisions. If only you would have come up a week earlier. Friday/Saturday I was busy in making my picks in the "traditional" Sumo games, so no extra-time for new stuff.... What you might re-think is the follwing: You can buy a rikishi who's already in a squad, but it will cost you 5 extra credits for each other stable he's in (so if you for instance pick the current MsTD and he was already picked by 2 other players, he'll cost you 50 instead of 40. This might act as a deterrent. At least I don't want to pay some 10 or 20 bucks more just because I'm a late joiner. Sounds unfair to me. Ganzohnesushi It's to avoid that too many players pick the same rikishi, without needing a rule saying you can't pick a rikishi that is already in someone else's squad. I understand that once all talented ones are already in one or more squads, it gets difficult to still build a good starting team, though you can try to pick 10 names that you see do well next basho and transfer out a couple of them to make changes for the better by Natsu basho. And if you join late, you might be awarded the worst player bonus a couple of times, so that at least you have first choice among the new recruits.
kuroimori 1,634 Posted January 13, 2014 I was running late and scrambled my picks for all the other games (and missing some deadlines in the process) when your announcement came in. I plan to give it a try come Natsu. Thumbs up though for your efforts to develop this new game! (Sign of approval...)

Vikanohara 171 Posted January 18, 2014 Hatsu 2014 Basho Score, after 6 Days 1. 20 points - chishafuwaku [best] 2. 19 points - Flohru [worst & 10+] 2. 19 points - Achiyama 2. 19 points - Vikanohara 5. 15 points - Azumashida 6. 13 points - shimodahito So far, the +10 credits would go to chishafuwaku, and first choice among new recruits would go to Flohru, as all others aren't eligible (yet). This rule is to prevent someone from picking just a couple of top rikishi (f.i. an Ozeki, M1, M10 & a M11), getting worst scores for several basho in a row and thus being able to pick the newer talents for free until he has a full squad. So be sure to expand your stable to 10 rikishi as soon as possible next couple of basho.
Vikanohara 171 Posted January 26, 2014 Hatsu 2014 Final Basho Score 1. 77 points - Flohru [best] 2. 75 points - Vikanohara 3. 68 points - Achiyama 3. 68 points - chishafuwaku [worst & 10+] 5. 49 points - Azumashida 6. 47 points - shimodahito Flohru had 9 rikishi scoring points, I had 8, Achiyama only 6, while chishafuwaku had 12 (but only his best 10 count). Flohru gets the 10 bonus credits for winning this basho, chishafuwaku has first shot at a new recruit, for free. More on that next couple of days, as well as more elaborated results. Stay tuned.
