Ex-Takekaze on the 30th was at the party after the meeting of his local koenkai in Kita-Akita, the "Takekaze-Akira-zeki supporting club". 45 members were at the meeting, and they decided to rename to "Oshiogawa-oyakata supporting club".

At the party he now got oyakata wear - a necktie

Hakuho is having to give up his Mongolian citizenship, so it’s only fair that Takarafuji gives up his neck fat. Sacrifice is part of life.

but that is not the only support they get from and at the temple: a prayer by the monks for certain victory

and like last year - a zazen gathering for the rikishi: to forge mind and spirit a bit more http://musashigawa.com/archives/9675

Hakkaku-beya also gets a temple prayer - the stay at the Souou temple in Chikusaku ward http://www.sououji.com/hakkaku/index.html

Now jd Homarefuji on the 8th had an encouragement party by his koenkai home in Ajigasawa town - a drop from sekitori does not mean the koenkai has to disband. With his 6-1 in Nagoya he'll return to sandanme next basho: "I'll aim for a zensho yusho." http://www.toonippo.co.jp/articles/-/231349

with the town headman, the head of the koenkai

He dropped to jd due to a shoulder injury, had surgery and fully returned to the dohyo in Nagoya: "I had thoughts of intai, but then thought: "if the shoulder heals, I can get back to makuuchi." http://www.mutusinpou.co.jp/news/2019/08/56514.html

with one new oyakata in the heya and the remaining sekitori: Takarafuji and Terutsuyoshi (the only not from Aomori here)

Kotonowaka on the 21st had a party to celebrate juryo promotion in Kurayoshi, hometown of granddad Kotozakura: "The final goal is to catch up with the previous (Sadogatake)."  (sounds a bit more sophisticated than simply 'I want to get to yokozuna'). The local koenkai presented the design of a kesho-mawashi, which he'll likely get after the Aki basho. http://www.nnn.co.jp/news/190822/20190822040.html

The Takanohana-beya Tagawa koenkai (Fukuoka) moves towards dissolution - in the end it had about 170 members. It started in 2011, when the heya moved its Fukuoka location there. The enlarged Chiganoura-beya is too big to stay at the location, the koenkai has not decided to change into one of Chiganoura-beya.

The dissolved Tagawa koenkai of Takanohana-beya now regrouped and after a full year on the 10th this month at last became a Chiganoura-beya koenkai. The inauguration event with the now 43 members was as usual in the "Sumo chaya Takanohana" restaurant. On the 30th they'll hold a Kyushu encouragement rally for the heya. http://www.nishinippon.co.jp/item/n/550281/

Hakuho today was at the pep rally of Miyagino-beya and reported to the Kyushu supporters that he has become a Japanese national. He told a story about his injured left upper arm: "The doctor told me it practically won't heal, but cured it with regenerative medicine. The most astonished one was the doctor: 'Aren't you an alien from space, yokozuna?'"

Mitakeumi had his pep rally yesterday, by the "Kyushu Mitakeumi koenkai". He just came from a talk show with Enho and had another talk show then.
