I've read the manga, and it's weirdly hilarious. Recommended.

And a good choice as well. Fujiazuma embodies the "typical" sumotori perfectly.

Hakuho with a nationwide appeal helps fund-raising for a youth (6) with an incurable hearth disease to get a transplantation in the US. So far less than 20% of the necessary sum had been raised:

They should've picked Harumafuji for the one-day police chief activity -- didn't he get a degree from a Mongolian police academy or something? he could've had some real-life practice ;)

Toyonoshima was in his hometown of Sukumo, Kochi prefecture over the weekend to attend the third annual Toyonoshima Cup, a sumo tournament for elementary schoolchildren. About 100 children participated.

Opening address from Toyonoshima.

Watching the bouts.

Toyonoshima's tsukebito Tokiarashi also attended, here dishing out the chanko.

Toyonoshima also put his mawashi on for a keiko session with the kids.

So Hakuho wants one or two yusho next year and Harumafuji wants four? Have they swapped shikona or something?

Hakuho with his physical trainer doing PR for the trainer's book “Hakuho's mental side – the structure of a “flow” to make your life 10 times as big.” - a philosophy for e.g. sports and business persons.
Being and becoming yokozuna is a mental thing, Hakuho is recommending to read the book to Kisenosato.
Hakuho was mentally weak when entering sumo - important is the way to cope with stress. He became yokozuna by forging his body and mind.

Ōsunaarashi was hugging slightly the winner of lottery at a Lions club Christmas party, to win was a signed hand-print. The host demanded from him to carry her in his arms, but he refused, ashamed – the hug was the limit – she (34) works at the kindergarten where he lifted up the kids.
