Salary Cap Sumo - Aki 2013 - RULES & QUOTES

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the third basho of the revived SCS !

A bit late this time, but hopefully early enough to collect teams from at least 50 players and enjoy a thrilling 15 days.

RULES

after all the discussions, I decided to set the new rules close to Gusoyama's old rules.

*** just as a reference - they can be found here: http://www.strongoak.net/salarysumo/rules.php***

RULES for Aki 2013 (and hopefully they stay the same for the foreseeable future):

Wins: 3 points

Ginboshi (maegashira only): 5 points

Kinboshi (maegashira only):7 points

Gino-sho, Kanto-sho, Shukun-sho: 12 points each

15-0 Jun-Yusho: 30 points

14-1 Jun-Yusho: 28 points

13-2 Jun-Yusho: 26 points

12-3 Jun-Yusho: 24 points

11-4 or lower Jun-Yusho 20 points

15-0 Yusho: 40 points

14-1 Yusho: 36 points

13-2 Yusho: 33 points

12-3 Yusho: 30 points

11-4 or lower Yusho: 27 points

Jun-Yusho points will be shared by number of rikishi who get the Jun-Yusho - points will be always rounded up to the next full number, if necessary.

If you chose a rikishi in your team, that is injured and goes kyujou without a win till day 5, that rikishi will be moved to the last rank of your team.

A team must consist out of a minimum of FOUR rikishi.

Every player has 1000 Yen to set up a team.

PRICING - ATTENTION - Quotes have been changed slightly due to useful remarks by some experienced sumogames - see thread PRICING THOUGHTS -

Please use ONLY below quotes for setting up your team.

As before, the sum of all quotes is 6000 Yen.

Hakuho............477 Takarafuji..... .123 Tokushoryu........105

Harumafuji.......392 Chiyotairyu.....129 Shotenro............108

Kisenosato.......274 Toyohibiki.......123 Takekaze............116

Kakuryu............214 Kaisei.............126 Tochinowaka......103

Kotoshogiku.....212 Tokitenku.......118 Tenkaiho.............98

Kotooshu..........198 Aminishiki.......127 Sadanofuji.........109

Myogiryu...........158 Kitataiki..........114 Endo..................107

Goeido.............152 Kyokutenho....122 Homasho............102

Tochiozan........142 Aran................119 Masunoyama......111

Takayasu.........133 Toyonoshima..123 Jokoryu...............110

Shohozan.........129 Fujiazuma.......116 Wakanosato.........99

Ikioi...................127 Yoshikaze.......117 Tamaasuka..........89

Okinoumi..........133 Gagamaru.......118 Asahisho.............93

Aoiyama............128 Kotoyuki...........110 Tamawashi..........96

Calculation of points will be changed to the old Gusoyama rules,

therefore all points for a single rikishi will be added first and then multiplied by the rank of the rikishi.

e.g. you pick Shohozan at rank 8, he finishes with a 10-5 result, scores one ginboshi and receives the ginosho, points will be as follows:

10 wins = 30 points plus 5 points for a ginboshi plus 12 points for a sansho. TOTAL 47 points, multiplied by rank 8 = 376 points for Shohozan

DEADLINE: Please send your teams by noon (12pm) Tokyo time on Shonichi, Sunday September 15th, 2013.

Tiebreaker rules unchanged - see Natsu basho.

GOOD LUCK

Hello Andonishiki...

I think you mean 1000 yen for the limit of spending, not 6000 yen!

One more point...again, to avoid likely team duplication, might not we increase the limit to, say, 1500 or whatever? Then we are almost certain to get more varied teams? With Hakuho so expensive, the players picking him are going to end up with identical teams. Something to consider next time. After Hakuho retires in the future, then we could go back down to 1000 perhaps. Anyway, food for thought.

@ panda

to invoid inflation by uncontrollable money printing,

the sum each player can spend is 1000 Yen as ever before.

I'm not Ben "Helicopter" Bernanke or Marco Draghi and

I do hope their questionable practices won't find their way into SCS.

6000 Yen is the sum of prices of all 42 rikishi,

that is a kind of control mechanism to keep price relations

managable.

If I ever get the "old" files from Gusoyama, we might return to

his pricing system, which was automated, I believe.

Mine is manual and quite work intensive, but ...so far... managable.

Thanks for your suggestions

update two - 30 entries so far - nice !!!

If you could, please ask your partner, neighbor, grandmother

or local baker if they wanna join as well !

I guess we need 50-60 players to have a realistic chance

to get back into the SB !

I forgot to mention that after this basho,

there will be a banzuke made for the first time since revival.

It will be based on sumo's basic features:

SKILL, HONOUR, TRADITION & RESPECT
