Akinomaki 38,408 Posted July 22, 2013 Hakuho: “Having surpassed that man is nice. Now for some time one should hear no nagging (like100 years early). With this I want to to act big for a while. Hahaha.”Showing: “V 26” and “43” - both goals reached he had before the basho. Both yokozuna on the way to Mongolia – with tsukebito (Ishiura): a leisure trip, in all about 10 rikishi from Mongolian origin were on the same plane: Tokitenku, Kyokutenho, Shotenro etc.
Akinomaki 38,408 Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Hakuho got the tsuna on the 3rd try, to Kise: “The chance will come”, also calling Endo a handsome man and warning him about getting too much involved with female fans, who should rise in numbers with his popularity and a rise to makuuchi: “If you are careful with that you'll rise high.”In Mongolia he will be mainly be around baseball teams and according to sponichi also plans to beonly a spectator at a Nadaam event (I guess the one Wanderer wrote about).元Asashoryu reacting like a grown-up (by way of his management in Japan): “There are more above me. Please avoid conceit or haughty here and devote yourself to sumo.” Edited July 23, 2013 by Akinomaki

Yep, have the photo and was there when her mother pushed her to the front to meet him after asageiko.
Doitsuyama 1,170 Posted July 23, 2013 Well, there's a difference between "nothing at all" and "not too much and be careful". I think he said the latter, so what's so funny about that?

Akinomaki 38,408 Posted July 24, 2013 Hakuho was jokingly hinting much in the interview (articles mention celebration sake residue) and wasn't explicit about involvement, that is the interpretation. He certainly didn't speak against a close relationship, just expressing the usual: Don't get distracted from sumo by becoming a playboy, taking advantage of your good looks and popularity among the many female fans your are about to get. That is his advice for the way up. He of course didn't add: And when you have reached the top and have a team of advisers and researchers to keep you fit, you can do the things you like - and still get the yusho. Akinomaki 38,408 Posted July 25, 2013 HF will return to Mongolia after the basho, receiving treatment for his chronically injured ankles. Both yokozuna on the way to Mongolia Harumafuji will be trying a mud treatment in an onsen resort hotel like Asashoryu did before.
Yubinhaad 11,278 Posted July 30, 2013 Both yokozuna on the way to Mongolia with tsukebito (Ishiura): a leisure trip, in all about 10 rikishi from Mongolian origin were on the same plane: Tokitenku, Kyokutenho, Shotenro etc. Found a few pictures from this trip. Hakuho helps Ishiura with his horsemanship. They also played some basketball with local children. I can't see the style of court catching on with the NBA. Hakuho with some retired Mongolian wrestlers. The scenic shot. Checking up on the rice he helped to plant during his previous trip to Mongolia. And some Mongolian wrestling for Hakuho and Ishiura. Guess who won.
Mukonoso 273 Posted July 30, 2013 There's something very satisfying about seeing these guys getting to relax in western style clothing. The basketball court and surroundings also look very cool and almost worthy of a type of desktop wallpaper.
