Oimeru 0 Posted May 26, 2013 Hrm, no Shukun-sho for Myogiryu after defeating a Yokozuna and two Ozeki?
Asashosakari 18,833 Posted May 26, 2013 (edited) Hrm, no Shukun-sho for Myogiryu after defeating a Yokozuna and two Ozeki? Beating ozeki is basically meaningless for the shukun-sho unless they were yusho contenders, and the yokozuna went 11-4... And the gino-sho has pretty much become the "joi-jin kanto-sho" over the last few years, so if he was to get a sansho this was the most straight-forward choice. yorikiried by fate 1,989 Posted May 26, 2013 (edited) Myogiryu: 10 Makuuchi appearances basho 5 Gino-sho 2 Kinboshi Sounds OK for me. Edited May 26, 2013 by yorikiried by fate
krindel 671 Posted May 26, 2013 OK, I know its waaaay too early, but just curious... Can theoreticalle an 11-4 from M1 be considered as part of an Ozeki run, if followed by two similar scores from Sekiwake? From what I could find, it has been done, but not for ages (and with rather better scores than 11-4).
