Ha-ha moment

Recommended Posts

Very new Endo (started at tsukedashi last basho, so hardly any hair) had his first Juryo trip today. After winning, it looked like he was asking the yobidashi what he's supposed to do vis--a-vis the chikaramizu- quite a lively chat ensued, considering the time and the place.

I laughed..

Any more ha-ha moments spotted?

There's what sounds like an older gentleman roaring out the names of the rikishi from somewhere in the crowd, GOOOOOEEEEEEDDOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! That always makes me smile.

Yesterday earlier in the day, I think in sandanme, one of the wrestlers had wrapped his knee poorly and it came undone during the fight. And, naturally, he stepped on it and slipped, thereby losing his bout. The east shimpan gave him a long lecture as he stepped off the dohyo, and then ex-Terao appeared to give him another lecture before letting him wander off down the tunnel in shame...

I haven't seen the shimpan talk to the wrestlers much after their bouts, particularly not while the next one is starting, so it caught my attention.

Edit: It was http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vap2T3BjkaU&list=PL3oHIWgGXp-8W2amS7zy1MbN_qVAf1XdZ'>Shibahara vs Rikishin.

Makes me wonder what would have happened if his opponent had slipped instead :-)

According to Kinta's Kimarite Kompendium that would most likely be a

loss by strippi-slippi-otoshi
