Rikishi Status Haru 2013 - FINAL

Recommended Posts

The second one doesn't come as a surprise, but has Chiyotairyu gotten injured against Hakuho then ? It's really a pity.

Double Withdrawal Day 7:

East Maegashira #2 Chiyotairyu (Kokonoe Beya)

has withdrawn the 7th day of the March Tournament.

East Maegashira #13 Tochinowaka (Kasugano Beya)

has withdrawn the 7th day of the March Tournament.

Chiyotairyu hurt his right ankle against Hakuho, one month estimated for full recovery, returning this basho very unlikely.

Tochinowaka has evidently an injured back of thigh on the right side and is hence kyujo.

More detailed info: CHiyotairyy has a fracture in the second metatarsal bone (which in itself is quite rare injury I'd say...) so possibly not ankle injury at all Nevertheless the 1 month stands.

Sagatsukasa is apparently kyujo for Day 8 - if confirmed, Wakanosato will get the fusensho.

Edit: just refreshed the Kyokai's page and Sagatsukasa IS shown as kyujo.

Sagatsukasa injured his left knee on day 7 while defending against Fujiazuma's tsuki pressure. Just slightly gave up based on the stream. Diagnosis ligament injury at least reported. Most likely will sit out rest of the basho.
