And his kabu and new name? Furiwake??? Really??

I find this extremely funny.

I saw the new Furiwake-furikake CM on TV, on the Nagatanien site it is only a small video (link on the right, his picture displayed in turn as the first). On the CM page shown a bit bigger as the 3rd in turn (right click on the video and select the option to enlarge a bit more).

Theme is: "Ok, let`s search for a wife".

He is back on the dohyo, against Onogawa-oyakata (Bushuyama), doing the pre-bout performance, getting thrown, moving like Robocop when drinking. The gyoji is Tommy Lee Jones, who plays the alien in the BOSS CMs.

Today's release is titled: "The vow (not kiss but) o-chazuke." The bide shows a karate technique.

Still the dream goes on - the wedding reception CM will come out in mid June.

Takamisakari was high-fiving the customers at the KKan for the whole basho as part of the PR campaign to bring in the customers. It ended today-they counted 9356 high-fives with the public. It was a daily thing except days 2 and 5, so that makes for an average of around 850 high-fives a day. The most was on day 8 with 1614 touches. (Someone actually counted this???) "I never imagined so many people would be participating.. I'm just glad they came and have a chance of widening their interest in sumo as the result of our interaction," said ex- Takamisakari.

I can't find the CM for the election though, where he performed a dance with a young actress.









On the 18th his first book is sold countrywide: "Courage to 'keep at it one day more'", telling about his sumo life from 4th grade primary school on, also revealing the secret of his trademark gestures at the time limit before the bout starts.
