It's become a daily issue, the DB keeps not crediting wins and losses to various rikishis' overall records. Today it's especially bad with at a glance at least 10 affected rikishi. Any guesses as to when (post-basho, presumably) Rotosumo will get sorted into divisions? On the Hoshitori/database thing, today I see this: The "detail" of the Hoshitori results (bring up current results page, click on a player's shikona, get a list of all that player's picks and performance) has Goeido still at 6-7 in the 2nd (sorted by rikishi) table, when he should be 7-7, and the points for him reflect 6-7. Similar thing with Tochinowaka, he's still at 7-6 in that table when he should be 8-6, and but the points are similarly wrong. If you add the Total Points on that table, which should (I think) be everything, just sorted by rikishi, it's a different total than the total points in the table immediately above, which should (I think) be everything, just sorted by day. And the "by day table" total has the same total as is on the main results page. In my case, the discrepancy between by-rikishi table and by-day table/main page totals is 23 points, which is more than the Goeido/Tochinowaka record/point difference would account for (13 points). The by-day table/main page totals agree with my personal recordkeeping. Still - where's the error that's throwing off the by-rikishi results and totals so badly, and how come it is getting corrected in the by-day table/main results? Gurowake 4,152 Posted May 24, 2014 There's clearly some issue with the database in receiving certain bout results that it doesn't necessarily post those results all the places it should. Database queries for sekiwakes with 6 wins returns Goeido's current performance, but bout queries pick up his Day 14 bout just fine. There's some disconnect between the two data sets that is causing strange things. Not knowing anything about how the database is organized, I can't begin to understand why it's happening. It may be winding down for you but you should know that the World Cup is starting to get serious with the semi finals for us. ;-) And actually it is looking splendid so far. Fukurou 534 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) A couple bugs on the Chain Gang web site: when you are on the Ranking sub-page, the default display has the header for Aki 2014 and default standings are also displayed (using the detail option, these appear to be post-Natsu 2014 standings). Gurowake 4,152 Posted July 12, 2014 There is something strange going on with Bench Sumo, and I'm guessing there's something about it that I'm not aware of. I had to click on the Enter link from the SuperBanzuke list in order to submit my entry, as the buttons on the site appear non-functional (at least to me). After submitting it, I received an email notifying me of my entry, but where my name would be in that email there is nothing (and there was no place for me to put a shikona regardless as is alluded to in my pre-basho interview.) My sumogames.de username does not appear on the list of Bench Sumo, nor is there an entry on that list with a timestamp anywhere near the timestamp in the email message. The link from SB only goes to the basho entry form, which is only telling me that the entries are closed for the basho.
