Hi everyone!

Which ranks will win the yushos in 2013?

In 2012, two yushos went to Yokozuna Hakuho, two yushos went to (then) Ozeki Harumafuji, one yusho went to Ozeki Baruto and one yusho went to Lower Maegashira Kyokutenho. But how about 2013?

Please put your prediction in a comment below (naming actual yusho winners), so at the end of 2013, we can see who came closest, and award a 'yusho'.

Past equivalent polls....

I say...

4 Yokozuna yushos (3 to Hakuho, 1 to Harumafuji)

2 Ozeki yushos .... (erm.... 1 for Kisenosato, and 1 for Kakuryu???)

zilch for the rest

5 for Yokozuna (Hakuho-4; HMF-1)

1 for Ozeki (Baruto as he will return to Ozeki and make a tsuna run by the end of the year.)

Zero for anyone else.

Lets try a long shot:

3 by Hakuho

1 by Harumafuji

1 by Kisenosato (he HAS to get one eventually)

1 by a Sekiwake (possibly Baruto in Jan, but I am thinking more Miyogiryu or Goeido making an Ozeki run)

My guess is that only one ozeki will surprise by taking one yusho away from the yokozunas. But I do no try to guess who it might be :D

but i try it: 3x Hakuho, 2x Harumafuji and 1x Kakuryu

We think that the yushos will be dominated by the Yokozunas, with nearly all of us going for 4 or 5 Yokozuna yushos.

Over half of us think that exactly one yusho will be won by an Ozeki, and just over a quarter of us think that the Ozekis will take two.

Most of us think that outside the top two ranks will not have a look in, although just over a quarter think that 1 yusho will go somewhere a little south on the banzuke. One person thinks that two yushos will go that way.

The yushos for 2013 went as follows:

Jan - Y1W Harumafuji

Mar - Y1W Hakuho

May - Y1E Hakuho

Jul - Y1E Hakuho

Sep - Y1E Hakuho

Nov - Y1W Harumafuji

so all 6 yushos won by the two Yokozunas.

From the comments above, koorifu claims the yusho, by predicting that all yushos would be won by Yokozunas - just got the division wrong.
