It's a habit. Kind of my own version of netspeak. I'll do what I can. ;)

Thanks, I appreciate that.

As I'm something of a "studying history for the entertainment value" buff, I found this on Archive.org. It's a book written in 1903 RE: Some British guys visit and observation of Japan.

If you want to be shocked and/or laugh yourself silly...check it out.

So...can you make me one or not? (Laughing...)

far too busy!

Actually - in your combined interest in sumo / religion you may want to get along to the Meguro Catholic Church this Friday if in Japan. British embassy choir and a sumo link or two. Have been invited to watch so I shall be there.

Well, the choir's going to be there singing very nice Christmas music by Rheinberger, Mendelssohn and others on Saturday Dec 1. Dunno what you'll find there on Friday. Not us. Same concert at Meiji Gakuin on Friday Dec. 7th. No praying, just music. For fun with the family, try the Tokyo Union Church at four on Saturday Dec. 8th (got the claves ready, but where did I put my sleighbells?)

Since the BEC concerts, though produced and led by professionals, are free (and open seating), with a collection at the end, (all of which goes to a stated charity), most of our publicity comes from the charities we support.. This is also why we mainly perform in churches or university halls, which will weigh in on the charity angle.
