Doitsuyama 1,173 Posted May 18, 2004 (edited) No kin- or ginboshi today, but several kachi-koshi bonuses helped raising the scoring average to 72 points, the best of this basho so far. Herkules and Menekineko were better than average which was enough to hold the top two positions. On the next four positions follow players with scores of 90 or better for today and overtaking Furanohana. Yoshisan had the best score today with 103 points and is closing in on kachi-koshi. The rank average of 152 so far would be a clear kanto-sho leader. Scarebear's score was typical for him again, the lowest of the day with 37 points and he is closing in on last place, only 44 points away.
