Isenoumi beya moves to Tokyo - Bunkyo ward

Recommended Posts

Isenoumi beya has officially opened its new premises in Tokyo's Bunkyo ward, moving from Edogawa ward. They will be the only heya in this ward, moving to a five story building owned by the current Oyakata, ex-Kitakachidoki, who took over the heya last September. 3 stories for living quarters, dohyo on the first floor. "Everyone has been very helpful. I hope to bring up a second Kashiwado," said the Oyakata. "I'd like to gambarize at a new place," added Ikioi of the Isenoumi house.

Oyakata, Okamisan, and new kanban:

The heya held a soken for its supporters at its new premises- about 40 of them came. "We would like to blend in with the neighbors and be a kind heya," said the Oyakata.

Ex-Tosanoumi (Tatekawa Oyakata) donned a mawashi and did some butsugari with the heya's only sekitori Ikioi:

Does anyone know where exactly in Bunkyo-ku this is? It was my stomping ground for a while, so I'd be interested to know its whereabouts for future reference.
