Introduce myself

10 posts in this topic

Hi,

I became interested in Somu a few years back when it was still on Eurosport but only occasionally. I followed it more intensely the last 2 years, especially since so may bouts are distributed in the internet. I enjoyed background information and discussion in this forum and also in sumotalk and currently I would like to get involved in some of the discussions.

Cheers

Andreas

P.S. Is it the intent of the forum owners that new members can not see the introduction threads of older members?

You just need to adjust the setting "From: 60 days" at the bottom.

Welcome to the forum Andreas21 (Hugging...)

Chuck in your salt (Chucking salt...) and join the fray...

Will Andreases 1-20 be joining us too? (Shaking head...)

Thanks for the welcome!

Will Andreases 1-20 be joining us too?

Sure they will, someday. Plain Andreas is still here, and more Andreases will put their different birthday numbers on. Anyway, I just refrained from Japanizing and Shikonizing my name ... that will have to wait.

So you think you're something better than us?

Just kidding. Hi from another Andreas.

You just need to adjust the setting "From: 60 days" at the bottom.

After the recent update, you need to click "Custom" at the subforum's header.

Even with this help, I can't seem to find it. :-S

Go here and look at the last item on the blue header bar.

ok, well, i've actually been a lurker and occasional poster for a couple of years but as I recall I haven't introduced myself, which I now find impolite and would like to make up for.

My name is Jan and I live in Poland. My first contact with sumo (thanks to Eurosport) was the 1999 Nagoya Basho.

I really love this forum, I admire the work that you guys put into your posts (enormous thanks for the videos to araibira and Kintamayama! their uploads are my only rational possibility to watch the bouts).

I don't know what else I should include in this kind of a presentation, so I guess I'll just cut it here. Anyway, nice to meet you guys.

Welcome to the board proper Jan..... (Hugging...)

Chuck in your salt (Chucking salt...) and join the fray.....

Just one thing Jan I hope you dont take this the wrong way but you have highjacked someone elses message thread, you should have pressed "start new topic," and then introduced yourself because this thread is Andreas21 introduction....

Its not a major problem but apart from anything else, the people here might overlook your introduction because its in an old thread...
